The Hemi was the only reason to consider a Dodge product (ok maybe for the Cummings).

The push for fleet avg MPG might cause a lot more choices to go away. Liberals hate anything fun.

The article also mentions the tax for miles driven. Ca an Or have been looking at those for years. They demanded you buy fuel efficient cars and hybrids an when people did they bitched about the loss of fuel taxes collected. WE MUST FIGHT THIS. An if you think the per gal tax will go away, dream on. We'll pay both.

Many in our government would love to force US (not them) to be stuck using only public transportation. Like these lockdowns they love the control.

That TRX is radical. On top of 700hp it's got a dual pane moonroof that's bigger than my TV and a touchscreen that's bigger than my laptop screen. Would be hilarious to go pick up manure with it haha.

I mean really - 700hp is awesome, but do you REALLY need that much HP in a pickup? It isn't a racecar.
Do pickups really NEED anything other than the basic safety requirements and the ability to move shit? Like.... why does a pickup NEED heated leather seats and a fancy dash with a TV in it? Why does a truck NEED power windows and locks and seats that remember 12 different position settings? Why bother even putting headliners in the God damn things? It's a truck..

Because some of us (like myself) work out of our trucks. I can't tell you how many times I've sat in mine for meetings with GC's on jobs sites in the freezing winters back east and would've loved to have heated seats. I've done hundreds of estimates in there too so while it's not the ideal place to do them I want to be was comfortable as I can. So for some the XL is the perfect truck but for me I love my Lariat. ?

I work out of a truck with poverty status non heated seats, your just a baby ?

My point was, it doesn't matter what's NEEDED. It's what's wanted, what's exciting, what's fun.

If all we had was what we need life would be super extremely boring.

this is sad news. we are headed to the modern versions of the vw bettle and other govt mandated transportation that is bland boring and limp. the v8 leaving is like a good friends death. like a part of our way of life going with it. i know a lot of this is more than just our new govt, it is also to make sales on the green image. yay its a small eco friendly engine wheeeeyy. straight up the raptor and ranger both sound like the audio equivalent of erectile dysfunction or a really bad case of walking farts. biggest reason my ranger will never ever have aftermarket exhaust, the world does not need to hear an angry lil bee under the hood getting upset when i need to pull into traffic. its just flat embarrassing. having cars and endless options and choices in engines etc. is part of the fabric of our culture. when thats gone from the american equation a part of american tradition and lifestyle is gone. grandkids will think fixing a car means contacting apple or making sure it is plugged in and has stable wifi connection for a download. i want our next generation to have balls, learn the lessons that come from hard work, getting dirty hands and being proud of a job well done you can actually drive around. i got a lot of those with a v8 engine to keep going etc. as kid. i think we will see that go away now that we will have cuisine art blenders under the hood. i dont have kids. but i got my nephew a bright red classic truck with an american v8 under hood and dual exhaust out the back with a set of headers and flowmasters sitting in storage for when hes old enough. got a few performance parts for him to throw at it too. i hope he and his dad and i can get in shape lookin sharp. the niece also! i hope he is proud of the work he puts in and shows it to his buddies. i hope he picks up a date and at least once she says i knew you were here i heard you coming down the street! then maybe pass it down to his sister for her to intimidate the boys. silly and old fashioned, well yes i guess i am. the hemi and cummins was all dodge had left, and we can get a cummins in a nissian now... ?

Dodge got what they asked for. They concentrated on a tiny niche market instead of looking into the future like other manufacturers did.

I had a 2019 392 Scat Pack Charger. The 6.4 likes to wipe out cam lobes and they like to pop with just a tune. Add to that the way the dealers and manufacture liked to be crazy with the warranty. They advertise drag racing, burnouts etc on their commercials but yet they flagged my warranty because I had signs of going to the drag strip in my scat when I took it in for an oil change. Which by the way had to be done by the dealer. Ridiculous.

Because it’s marketing to sucker people into more debt and wasting money on stuff they don’t really need. A great example is why does the F-150 raptor and TRX need the top luxury options standard when they are “off road” trucks? Because the manufacturers are marketing these trucks to buyers that don’t give a damn about off road and only care about looking cool

Why did your oil change have to be performed by the dealer? Was it for warranty purposes? The Magnuson-Moss act makes this illegal.
