Looking to add a magnetic pistol mount below the steering wheel. Before I commit to drilling holes I thought I would see who's done this before. The panel seems to be composed of plastic with metal backing. Is this right? Would a couple of sheet metal screws work? The mount came with adhesive backing but the panel I would mount to is not flat.

I've had this one for a couple years now and it holds great. I've even been off road with my gun attached and it never moved at all. Mine came with a couple self tapping screws and that's all I used and it's held up fine. I don't even think I went into the metal backing. I remember someone trying to use just the tape and it fell off within a couple days and he had to add the screws.

I put mine on the side of the center console. The seat hides it from view. The handle of it sticks up past the cutout for the handbrake lever making grabbing it quick an easy. If you read the reviews some of them say they struggle to hold the weight. I went with this one:

I use eBay because I refuse to buy a prime membership

I recently bought an S&W EZ9. It has an ambidextrous safety as well as a grip safety. It is hammer fired so the slide is very easy to rack.
The 4.5 lb. trigger for makes nice groups.

I gave my Glock to my son a few months ago and was hoping to go look at some of the micro compacts soon to see if I could find something to better fit my hand.
I realize it might be blasphemy to not like a Glock, but I just didn't. Shot fine, but didn't fit my hand well.
I look forward to hearing about your EZ after you've had it awhile.
Merry Christmas to you! ?

Not blasphemous at all.

I'm not a fan of Gloc ergonomics either.

I haven't shot the ez9 but one of my carry guns is the M&P Shield 9. It has a smaller, thin grip and fits my hand so much better than Glocks do. It's small enough that you don't even realize it's on you side. My second is my Sig p365 xl. Like the M&P it has a thin grip and conceals great and it holds more rounds. 12 & 15 round mags opposed to 7&8 with the M&P. I've tried to like Glocks but I've never found one that feels comfortable in my hand.

If you don't like the standard Glock ergonomics
try the G48. Single stack 9mm.

Right before I bought my M&P I went tom LGS since they had both in stock. I tried that one too and while not as bad as the double stack Glocks it just didn't feel right. I have smaller hands so it's tough to find one that I like. Of course all the 1911's fit great and I have a few but they're pricey.

Does the 48 keep the standard Gloc grip angle?

I have no problem with a thick grip. I can adjust to that. I just hate feeling like I'm pointing a microphone down range.
