Pretty much every time I use remote start, I get a faint coolant smell when I get in the cab. No puddles, no noticeable leaks, no loss of fluid in the reservoir, but distinctive smell with remote starts, and disipates quickly after I start driving. The dealership is booking weeks in advance with seasonal tires being the priority customer this time of year, so I'll book it in the new year just curious if it's a known thing?

Random thing, but do you park your truck on an angle with the front facing downhill? I have also noticed a weird smell after using remote start.

No, the opposite actually. My driveway is 2-3 degrees nose high.

You have some residual seeping through O-rings that is being burnt off when you start it. Probably on the turbo, either block fitting or outside turbo fitting. No worries. It is normal to seep. It's not normal to have a puddle. Also it only takes half a drop to make the whole engine smell like it's burning coolant for about 20 mins.

Thanks,

I'll check for wet and stains around those fittings.
