I found some Gloss Black Door Handle and XLT Mirror Covers for my truck already, but now, I'm having difficulty finding a Gloss Black Tailgate Handle Cover? Does anyone know where I could pick one up at?

Thanks!

Where did you find those? I had a mustang and immediately order from american muscle caps for the side view mirrors. American reuck doesnt carry that, and handle upgrades would be awesome. The plastic is always funky.

I have a set of paintable ones that I plan paint Oxford White. So have not installed them
Is the edge of the cover an announce when opening the door? Seem like it will be an edge to get caught on gloves, skin etc.

Been watch the national junkyards for some Lariat ones tha are already painted. I am assuming the will fit mechanically (but unsure) and I wil just leave the keyless stuff unplugged.

How is the quality of these?
They're actually very nice pieces! The mirrors caps are identical to the OEM, with the exception of not having Ford stamped on the inside. They just say "Gloss Black" and they're a shade or two off from Shadow Black, but it doesn't matter to me at the moment. I'll get them sprayed Shadow Black, when I get the rest of my Air Design pieces. Here's a pic I took yesterday, after installing them.

You do know that the Lariat Mirror Skull Caps will not work on the XL or XLT mirrors, since the Lariat's have that silly little blinker light made into the cover... You would have to move the light over with it, but it should work, but unsure why you would want it, if the light didn't function? To each his own.

Yup - I have Lariat mirrors and already painted them white. I have a thread on how to do it(add the mirrors not paint the caps!). I wanted heated mirrors...
I was actually referring to the door handles

Oh, I gotcha! I assumed you were talking about mirrors, since it says XLT in you details. Covers are nice too, but I haven't stuck them on yet, since I believe the black is a couple of shades off, I'll just have them repainted with the rest of my stuff.

Thanks for the info. So they snap in place like OEM? I have the black package on Hot Pepper Red, so standard gloss black should work. The door handles are just covers though?

Yes, the old mirror caps come off and the new ones go in their place, which is nice. Standard Black should be fine for you? Mine looks fine, unless you're like me and you sit there and think too much about it......

The door handle covers just stick onto/over the stock handles. I'm going to try to install them this afternoon.

I would ferment knowing it's a different black...but it's tempting to get and paint myself...

The door handles are definitely not the same Black as Shadow Black, as I installed them yesterday and they look "ok", but if you shine a light on them, they look Charcoal against the Shadow Black..

If you look at the black on the surround of the side vents which is part of the black package like I have, it looks like the mirror caps and possibly the door handles match that pretty well. Doing this on black seems like it would be easy, but black is not just black. For what it is worth, I do think it looks perfectly fine.

I got my mirror caps yesterday and think they match the black package trim pieces pretty well and against my Hot Pepper Red, I think you will probably not notice any difference if there is any. I am going to wait to install mine after the winter salt, etc. to at least enjoy them when the weather is nice before any chips, etc.

Any luck on finding the tailgate covers?

Well, I'm getting a bunch of stuff sprayed Shadow Black, so I'll just get the mirror and door caps painted as well.

No luck on a tailgate handle cover, so I bought a Lariat one, that's in primer. I'll get it sprayed with my other stuff as well.
