Here's an interesting one that hopefully someone has a solution for. Picked up my Ranger last week and the Keypad Master Code card from the factory was missing/lost. The dealer plugged into the OBD to attempt to to retrieve or create a new master code but could not has this was newer/different then previous vehicles (I tried the F150 procedure but that did not work). They reached out to Ford and were told to replace the keypads with a new set that will come with a new master code - seems kind of ridiculous that they have no way of retrieving the original from the build date. Not really a big deal as my dealer can do it when I bring it in for first service and it is not super necessary with keyless entry but would be nice if I could fix without pulling out the old keypads.

Ford has eliminated using a scan tool to retrieve keyless code on newer vehicles. It can be found on a sticker on the back of the BCM most times, or if both factory keys are cycled, it will come up on the information screen. This may or may not work on the Ranger.
