Traded in my 2020 Tacoma, for a new ranger. And I’m so glad I did. The differences in the truck are so noticeable and it so much better. I did do some modifications already too. 2.5” level kit, 17” icon rebound wheels, 265/70/r17 KO2’s, prinsu roof rack (getting a ikamper tent once I save up a little more), raptor grill with the 3 lights. New fog lights. And a swing case for the truck bed!

Great choice Mike! :like:

There are many of us here who traded in our 3rd gen Tacomas and have zero regrets. Mine was a 2016 and the happiest days of my life were the day I bought it and the day I traded it in! The drivetrain was terrible, it never knew which gear it wanted to be in so it was all over the place. Never mind the horrible seating position which was a back breaker driving more than 30 minutes. The Ranger is super smooth and impressive power for a 4cyl turbo. Just be aware this forum causes bank accounts to mysteriously disappear.

Welcome! I also traded in a Toyota when buying my Ranger. Although not a Tacoma, it was a Corolla, lol. It was a good little econobox but I decided to get myself a big boy vehicle. Absolutely no regrets at all, still love my Ranger 2 years later and hope to keep it for many more years.

Making bank accounts disappear is right! There are so many great people here that love to help lighten your wallet. Looking at crash bars and taller tires now. :like:

Pssst Dave, when are you going to tell him about the tailgate dampner?
Lol Darn I've been slacking!

Mike you really need to get the best mod out there to be part of the club. Here's a link for it with free shipping from one of our sponsors here @Stage3Motorsports. Not only will you be getting the best mod, you'll be helping a great sponsor put food on the table. Nothing like a little guilt to push a sale. lol ?

Welcome Mike! You’ll love the Ranger more and more each day. Glad you came over to the greener side of the grass. :turkey:

I tease tacos all the time, especially on hills. It’s funny watching them stare at my truck take off as they lug along and try to find gears. My favorite find on the freeway is the taco with the aftermarket exhaust

You only get to see them for a minute in the hills, they are over in the right lane at 2000-7000rpm ( and never anywhere in between those RPMs ) doing 55 mph.
