I was going for the Gator EFX but the sales guy talked me out of it when I was asking how well will it hold up to Hail and stuff dropping on it.
He was pushing the FX3 something about the exposed material being some kind of plastic or something that don't dent?
and was thinking I would like how it folds up against the cab but on the other hand I would not be a fan of folding a cover up and having it block the rear window PLUS rubbing aginst the paint with a rubber mounted body and solid mount bed.
Than I hear the factory had a 4 fold that was made by Bak flip? so I happen to be walking through the used trucks yesterday and here is a ranger with a Bakflip g2 and the surface of its all dented up.
Tell me about this Lomax, is the exposed surface any stronger? I mean I am not throwing saws up there, etc but I don't want something that will dent real easy if someone else sets something on it. The lomax looks like it might be a solid 1/8" aluminum cover? Plus and I like the idea of how easy it detaches if needed.
I am looking at the matte black. is this some kind of spray on surface or just matte black sprayed on aluminum that will scratch real easy.
I read on hear someone say how easy the lomax would be to break into, but is it any harder to break into any other cover?
