Are these red things stock? I have see them sold as aftermarket upgrades.

They are stock, every vehicle suspension has some type of "Bump Stop" installed to keep metal components from contacting each other during extreme suspension compression. They are on everything from motorcycles, dirt bikes, cars, trucks, and semi's in one form or another.

Oh, so the aftermarket ones I have seen are probably stiffer or something?

Some may be "stiffer", longer, made from different materials, and generally cost a lot more $$$
Don't worry bout it...unless you load your bed down and drive over some really bad roads , your truck will probably never hit the rear bump stops. Even if it does, the bump stops will compress.

Yes, They will be for heavier weight, or longer travel. I currently have aprox 1000 Lbs of bricks in my truck bed, there is still a 1/2" air gap between the spring and the stopper. As long as I drive properly, no issue, if I hit a speed bump at speed, the suspension will compress and the spring will touch the bump stop as its designed to.
