Missing Trim Piece, Part Number Request

21 Lariat FX4 Supercab, rear seat & decal delete
My '21 Lariat came missing whatever trim piece would cover the hole for a traditional key. Can anyone give me a part number? Yes, the dealer said they would find one for me and no, they haven't. Thanks.

Rex that's not supposed to be like that. I looks like they used a steering column cover for a keyed truck. :facepalm:

@VegasRanger well, I haven't seen the price yet, it depends on how much I want to stress and fight with the "highest volume dealer in the US" meaning they don't need my business vs a few bucks. @AzScorpion that pic is very informative and might make a more cogent argument if I do go back to the dealer.

Why would you buy it on your own? I’d rip them a new one.
100% this. They know better and are playing dumb that's why they haven't contacted him yet. This should be a no brainer and Ford should cover this and replace the whole steering column cover.

Rex I would show them my picture and tell them you want this fixed the right way. If they don't then call Ford corporate and open up a complaint with them. Good luck!

Can anyone tell me the part number of the lower column cowl without an ignition cut-out? Hoping to be as clear as possible when I go to the dealer. Thanks.

Oh hell no. No way should you be paying for anything. As Dave mentioned - you have the wrong steering column cover. If I were you - I would be back at the dealership and "politely" asking them to make this right for you. I assume you purchased your 2021 new? Anyone else with a 2021 Lariat look like this? I have a 2020 and mine looks like Dave's.

My 2021 Lariat does not have the hole in the column cover. Wrong part used for assembly. Dealer needs to make the factory make it right.

Maybe skip the dealer and create a case directly with Ford?

I emailed the concierge sales guy I dealt with, sent my picture, the correct picture and the part number, I'll see what he says.

@jsphlynch how does one open a case with Ford?
