That's hilarious!

It's turning into another one of my adventures because things are not going as they should. Since I have one of the first trucks off the line it seems like they used whatever was available to put it together. So far, in the six tie downs in my bed, I've run across four different sized torx heads for the same bolts and this is made all the more difficult to realize since they did such a good job with my factory spray-in bedliner that they filled every bolt/screw head to the top with that stuff.

BuiltRight says 10 minutes a side and I've been out here for two hours and I'm half way through the second side.
Wow that sucks Tony. Hope you get it straightened out without any more surprises. Sounds like it would've been easier to get Amber some real racks.

It's finished now. Time to put in all the clamps for my shovel, jack, flags and whatnot.

Side note, if trucks came with a "real" rack, I'd never get any sleep.

Actually, that song was originally performed by Big Mama Thornton

Brother, I love me some Big Mama Thornton

Here's a live version, with bonus track "Down Home Shakedown" featuring Mr John Lee Hooker

You are obviously not me. I would have been in that parking lot celebrating the 4th of July with whoever wandered in.

the only hard part is getting off the 35mm Axle nut i think i stood on it.
Should have started working on it right in the dealers parking lot near the main entrance ? I bet they would have found 40mins to fit you in... or called the police on you.

I brought the leaky wet/ greasy cv and put it on their desk in the parts office was fun. hope they have fun with my trash. kind of immature but is what it is lol. some offroad shop quoted me 450$ to do it. like how are you a legitimate shop if it takes you that long to do a cv axle swap.

I took my Ranger to an old friend who has his own Brake, Suspension and Alignment shop. He bled the brakes with his MightyVac and it helped to firm up the spongy brake pedal. He went around the truck twice to be sure. I drove it around for a couple hours and it definitely fixed the issue. If anyone feels like they have the issue, find a good old school front end/brake mechanic, and I'm sure they can help. Some of the newer Techs, don't seem to be able to always help. I'm not bashing anyone, just telling my experience.
