Is this something like what you are looking for?

Very cool but the price of admission is pretty steep.

Gotta buy the Chase Rack itself and then the Roof Rack is an add-on so around $4500 total.

That's pretty much what I had in mind. But geez that's pricey.

Oh man, when @OFC Ranger sees this, he’s going to be pissed that they stole his rubber bumper design. How is it that Jack’s design looks way cleaner than the $$$$$$$ ADD unit?

I'm not going to even try and believe I innovated that rubber foot idea. While I appreciate the compliment ADD has been in the game way longer than me lol

But yea... $4500...

That is the EXACT reason I designed and built my own. If we don't count the cost of materials for revisions My entire setup is still probably around $2,000 with the RCI bed rack, extra RCI platform panels, then the actual platform materials. That is with the all aluminum platform and sub-frame.

You opt to go without the extra platform paneling you can put it down to around $1,400 or so.

If we count my revisions (new materials, repaints, etc etc), lighting setup, electrical supplies, and the tooling stuff I bought (like a cheap WEN drill press for example) I am still WAY under their $4500 entry fee.

Technically Version 3 is going to cost less than Version 1 or 2 in the materials department for the platform.

Edit: I will admit ADD like all other actual companies have better fit and finish than me. They can more easily do pieces of metal that have some sort of curve or roundness. They have CNC machines and laser cutters I presume. I can do smaller pieces that are not sharp angles by slow going with an angle grinder, but for most part I have to stick to straight lines as much as possible. I also can not do cool stuff like elongated slots. I can do circles based on whatever size drill bit I use. LOL

Just an idea. A ladder rack. You could make it to have a removeable rear cross bar.

Yeah that could work. Then I could put an even bigger awning all the way to the tailgate.

...Why can't you just use a milling bit on your drill press to make a slot? Set it up with a back stop, and just slide along it, with lots of coolant sprayed... Yeah, not as easy/nice as a milling machine, but I don't see why you couldn't do it.

I use a cheap low power WEN drill press I just don't see it coming out very clean this thing is not high powered I just bought it because it's at least more stable than doing a hole by hand. It might work who knows.

I liked this rack. Tapered at the back. This looks useable to load motorcycles with a rear removeable cross bar. The bar could be just above the back of the bikes.

A clearer picture.

Not sure if this will work. I would like to run the Decked drawer system. Then load a bike on top of it.
Its sketchy enough to load a larger bike in the back of the bed. The extra height would make it even more problematic to load and off load, A three person job.

Ladder racks can be pretty cool. That's what I used to use for my kayak. I put some led pods on the towers too.

Yeah, the tapered back is cool. Do you know if this a custom rack?

Its just a picture I found on a search. From the clearer picture I saw it looked like someone made it. Not from a supplier

This is what inspired me to make my own one piece. Technically their's is two pieces, but the idea of a monolithic platform with matching lines was the original idea.

I was never satisifed with the boosted height on mine, so Version 3 will be re-worked so its only going to be above the side doors by about half an inch or so. I'll still have a gap in the front cause I haven't found a way (that I like) to follow the roof line curve. However my primary light is going to be in that gap.
