I noticed this spot the other day while wiping out the door jambs, passenger side front door near kick panel. I haven't brought it to Ford's attention yet but will be swinging by the dealership at some point today

Looks like the paint was chipped. Rusted fast, though. They'll touch it up.

It's definitely not chipped and appears to have been cleared over, my guess is that there was some contaminant on the surface prior to paint. I had a similar issue with corrosion on the aluminum hood of my Fusion

If you look hard enough I think all of us can find something wrong with the paint. I have found bedliner overspray in two spots and three scratches. Hopefully your dealer gets that fixed!

I had a few spots of rail dust (rust) in my bed. I assume it came from the train ride to get delivered. Took it in and that took care of it free of charge under the warranty.

I have quite a bit of rust inside behind the lower panels. It seems unusual for a new truck. Will the warranty take care of it? and how?

Yes, this is warranted. Take it to the dealer and they'll take it from there...
