The ranger is definitely a good looking truck stock but also has some serious potential to look good with tasteful mods. I haven't done anything yet and am in no hurry to do so. That being said lifting the front up a tad, improving suspension performance, and some bigger tires to better fill up...

What you have described matches my experience completely. I even tried putting the Ranger in neutral before coming to a stop and sure enough no clunk. Curious what you find out!

OK cool, I'll give it another go. I found the menu where you can select/unselect some of the other icons such as accident warnings but did not see anything for general POI.

Gotcha. I had a trailblazer that was the same way, engine would occasionally stumble and chug, then sort itself out after a few minutes. Never took that too far away from home!

You can go into vehicle settings and disable auto high beams. Same thing with the rain sensing wipers. Where I live there is rarely a stretch of road where there isn't a car in front of me or oncoming. The high beams turned off and on so frequently that I had cars full of teens following me...

Luckily in Washington there is still a fair amount of land that is open for recreational use. It is mostly working forest so some sections are nicer than others but there are still a ton of nice spots that seem to have avoided being logged. If this land was privately owned I doubt we could use...

This was taken in the Mt. Baker - Snoqualmie National Forest to the northeast of Greenwater, near the Naches trail. We were able to climb up to about 5500' using a combination of forest service roads and easier trails.

I also have that lurch when shifting out of reverse and also when shifting into reverse. The lurch into reverse is much worse, that transmission really slams into it. I figure this is something related to the rough shifting TSB, which I will try and have performed at my 10,000 mile service.
