Is it worth getting a set of front and back FX4 struts and shocks over stock ranger set up? I am not doing any crazy off-roading, mostly beach and hunting driving. I do trailer a 17-foot camper.

Hell no. I don't know what the stock shocks are, but most people don't like the FX4 shocks. I just replaced the rears with eibachs yesterday.
I agree! Go Fox, Eibach, Billstien. Anyhthing but the FX4, especially the rears. Night and day difference, especially when towing.

I agree with everyone else on the factory shocks. They SUCK!!!!!!

Now i know you say you are not doing any crazy Off-Roading but even a practical lift will help you out for the most part. I myself went with Old Man EMU and I Love it!!! The front is lifted by 2.4 inches, the rear is lifted by 1.6 inches and you can fit Firestone Destination XT 285/70-17 on stock wheels and no spacers woth minimal to no rubbing!! Comfort is great both on and OffRoad and you can tow just fine!!

with any of these can I level the front just using them? I don't want to have to use a spacer to level the front of the truck.

Fox, Eibach and Bilstein are proper leveling kits but if you are going OffRoad and are going to be towing then you will want a lift kit. Thankfully Old Man EMU is a proper lift kit that does not use spacers. It gives you new shocks front and rear with new springs front and rear. Both clearance and travel are perfect for what you will be doing.

Mcssls

I stopped and scheduled mine this afternoon. 300 miles on the clock. Ford/fox suspension going on Friday.

Only way to go.
I disagree. Why do I disagree? Well when Fox states that you need to rebuild the shocks every 10,000 miles when doing 50/50 on and OffRoad the cost becomes way too much to justify. Even Old Man EMU has a warranty for 3 years 36,000 miles. Just looking at it for an overall cost standpoint.

For the front, I'm bucking the trend.

I've installed a pair on FX fronts using my original springs on my RWD '19.

Definitely eased the harshness in the front suspension.

Now the backs, I'm 100% with the crowd and ditched the ones on my wife's FX4. Poor rebound control.
