Aftermarket window tint - buyer beware!

I have a 2019 Ford Ranger XL with SuperCab/Extended Cab
and needed both the small cab windows tinted for truck security.
Since the SuperCab windows are fixed and very small then you would think
the cost would be very low - u r wrong! I have quotes of $250 and as low of $60 for the
same exact tint job. Don't ever tell the tint specialist that you bought the
brand "new" 2019 Ford Ranger - they think you will pay any price for your brand new truck.
When confronted, try to have amnesia or provide wrong data when you are asked
the make, model and year. (data they really don't need to install this small tint job)
The resulting price estimate drop could be dramatic.

250 sounds about average. its mostly labor costs anyways. the amount of extra tint they use on midsize trucks vs full size for example isn't that much more and is basically negligible. a lot of it becomes waste. I would never pay $60 for a tint job and I can't see anyone willing to do that job for that low. good quality tint comes with a better warranty. better uv/heat protection. and will last as long as the vehicles.

But your windows roll up and down and must be relieved to avoid scuffing or scratching the tint, fixed windows are cinch in comparison.

Tint prices are all over the board .. I used the most reputable place in the area I bought my truck and paid 150 to have it tinted all the way around and a strip on my supercrew
