What size tires? And did you have a lift in the front? It does looks nice.
Thanks. They're 265/70/17 with the RC 2.5" level kit. I liked that size as there is no need to remove or replace the crash bars and it doesn't really kill your gas mileage.

You just need to figure out what you're really looking for and what you're intended use will be. A lot of my off roading is in the desert which is mostly sand but we do go up north where it's rocky and there is plenty of clearance for that. If you're going to do more aggressive off roading or just like the looks of a larger tire I'd go with the 285's. I was torn between the two but in the end this is still my daily driver and this set up didn't affect my mpg all but maybe 1 mpg.

Eibach 3”/1”
1” bora spacers

FYI In forscan I adjusted my tire size to 2614mm which is equal to the 102.9” diameter nitto has on their website for these tires and I went from 5mph slow to about 2mph fast.(odometer compared to gps) I’ll adjust with the mm size down a bit and report back.

After lots of trial and error I am down to 2520MM on the forscan tire size setting. I’m extremely close now.

Closer than my wife’s car from the factory, which is 1mph off. I’m maybe .5mph off now. Good enough for me.
I have the blue sport as well and yours looks perfect. This is the blueprint for what I will do with mine. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

...so for clarity, if I intend to replace my factory FX4 Magnetics with an aftermarket rim and like the look (width or poke) of the factory 55mm offset rim with a 1" spacer I should obtain that same width/poke (look) with a 30mm offset rim. Correct?

55mm - 1" (25.4mm) = 29.6

You are correct sir. The same affect would happen if you put either a spacer on or a wheel that changed offset the same.

I wonder with this same spacer if a 285/75/17 would fit with the 3.5 inch lift without rubbing as well. anyone tried? in theory adding another half inch of left and one inch of tire... it may be close. also if you do not mid sharing the price of the install?

Most guys prolly dont re-gear, but really should as stock tires are around 30.5" dia and these are near 33" tall. So that is a relatively huge increase for a 4 cyl 2.3l engine and drivetrain to deal with. Also when you pull a wheel off, just look at those tiny little brakes. Think of those tiny brakes stopping a lot more mass with the 3" taller tires. Then forget about trying to tow anything. The little 4-banger and associated drivetrain will have been loaded up bigly with huge tires [mass] they have to get rolling and then brake for every stop. Basically upsets every design parameter of these little trucks.

IF these trucks had a beefy V6 turbocharged, and big brakes with at least 40% more stopping capacity, and 4.10 axle ratio diffs, then bigger tires no problem. These trucks were not designed for that. Simple harsh truth.
I had an 04 for ranger with a 3 inch lift 285/75r/16 with drum breaks in the rear far less HP that this 4cyl of today and it had no problems stopping or towing.

Anyone running this same setup (1/4 inch spacers w/ 285/70R17) but with a 2.5 inch spacer lift instead of a 3 inch lift?

Yes, I have Fox 2.0 with a block under the rear leafs and 285/70r17 Terra grappler G2 with the 4th inch spacer. Not going to lie if I could add another inch I would.

Where are people getting these 1/4" spacers? I found one on American Trucks.com and tried installing it (see other thread) and it didn't fit the hub.

I'm running a 1.5" spacer all around, makes the clearance up front a lot tighter but dang is she good lookin'! ? a 1/4" spacer looks almost factory, you can barely tell.

I am running a 285/70/17 tire though. The spacers I bought are like $200, and you can get them in 3/4", 1", or 1.5", the small 1/4" ones are way cheaper and you only need two of them.

Those tires look good, however, they do not seem to have the same amount of traction as Dick Cepek tires. I recommend that you try out this other brand as well.

I just got 285/70/17. I want your stance. Do you think one inch spacers should be good all around or just in the front? Will I need any other modifications to prevent any rubbing? I also have 3 in level kit on the way. Need some help.

Did you put any spacers in the back? Would you think one inch spacers would be to much all away around?
