If I'm reading this correctly, on 2019 Rangers only the front door glasses are laminated and the rear doors are still tempered.

Hi Adam,

On my SuperCrew that is the case....Front door glass is laminated and rear is tempered....Can't say for SuperCab....

Interesting, my 2020 super crew says tempered on all 4 rollup windows.

I finally got the verdict from Ford I was told glass of any kind is only covered for 1 year that it's in the fine print, and I was told to read the limits on Bumper to bumper coverage from Michigan plant so I will paying 350.00 tomorrow . so I told them that Bumper to Bumper used to mean the whole vehicle that I have driven Rangers since the 1980's not happy with their customer service policy.

there is only one caveat, and that's about windshields being covered for 1 yr or 20000km for stress cracks.
side windows aren't listed in that section so the full warranty coverage still applies. This is a defect, not damage, and they are clearly expanding on their lack of knowledge and desire to not pay out warranty.
if they changed it once, and it happens again....a fair assessment should be that the replacement glass was reset on warranty limits. a defect is a defect.

I would escalate it if I was you.

They should read their own warranty. It says nothing about 'glass is glass'. It specifies windshield. Nowhere in the limitations does it exclude glass outside the windshield.

Did they replace the first one under warranty? If so, then has it been a year? If no, then even by their standards they should still fix the underlying problem.

If the engine blows up under warranty and blows out the windshield, they are sure as shit fixing the windshield...

Yes they fixed the first one , it hasn't been a year since they fixed it yet . Thank you for your reply. I had it fixed today , the place that fixed it said to keep after Ford .
