Hi Adam,https://www.aaa.com/AAA/common/AAR/files/Laminated-Glass-Vehicle-List.pdf
If I'm reading this correctly, on 2019 Rangers only the front door glasses are laminated and the rear doors are still tempered.
I talked with Ford their reply was glass is glass there for out of warrantythere is only one caveat, and that's about windshields being covered for 1 yr or 20000km for stress cracks.
side windows aren't listed in that section so the full warranty coverage still applies. This is a defect, not damage, and they are clearly expanding on their lack of knowledge and desire to not pay out warranty.
if they changed it once, and it happens again....a fair assessment should be that the replacement glass was reset on warranty limits. a defect is a defect.
I would escalate it if I was you.
They should read their own warranty. It says nothing about 'glass is glass'. It specifies windshield. Nowhere in the limitations does it exclude glass outside the windshield.I talked with Ford their reply was glass is glass there for out of warranty
Did they replace the first one under warranty? If so, then has it been a year? If no, then even by their standards they should still fix the underlying problem.I talked with Ford their reply was glass is glass there for out of warranty
I agree 100 percent and let the warranty department know feeling about itThey should read their own warranty. It says nothing about 'glass is glass'. It specifies windshield. Nowhere in the limitations does it exclude glass outside the windshield.

I would call BS on that.
Yes they fixed the first one , it hasn't been a year since they fixed it yet . Thank you for your reply. I had it fixed today , the place that fixed it said to keep after Ford .Did they replace the first one under warranty? If so, then has it been a year? If no, then even by their standards they should still fix the underlying problem.
If the engine blows up under warranty and blows out the windshield, they are sure as shit fixing the windshield...
