So after a LONG journey trying to get my truck outfitted with an RSI smartcap, I was finally able to work with a local company to get it delivered, however there was still a long wait for the crossbars ??‍ It took about 6 weeks for it to arrive to Hawaii (not bad) but it would have taken another 6 weeks for the shop to be able to install. Since it was just me and my two kids, I didn't think it would be able to lift it onto the bed of the truck, but I brought it home anyway and put it together, hoping I could scrounge up a couple of neighbors when it was over (living in Tacoma Country, we’re a bit ostracised by driving a Ranger).
putting it together was very simple, completed by mysef in about 1.5 hrs. You will need a small torque wrench in the final stages to ensure tightness between pieces.
I made a plan using a cart, wood and a jack to lift it over the bedrails, but decided to see if my boys were feeling manly that day. Surprisingly, they were able to lift one side and I the other, we walked it into the bed from my porch and I made final adjustments by lifting from the inside. Anyway, here are some pictures. This cap is stong, the windows are huge and with magnets, customizations are endless. It does look a bit odd at certain angles, but looks fantastic in others. It’s been rainy these past few months (26” per month) and so far the cap itself is holding out the rain (though the many holes in the bed needs attention). Also, the 3rd brakelight is still in development and estimated to be another 2 months.

Quick question regarding the platform, are the rhino rack pioneer accessories compatible with the RSI platforms? It appears that they both have similar trenches in each bar but can’t really tell size on pictures.

Nice fly rod! That's one of the reasons I bought my Ranger. It will take to more remote spots than my Fusion.

Around 74-75", the factory rooftop antenna sits several inches higher than the topper so if your clearing that your good.

The RSI rails on the top of the caps typically take a slightly different sized hardware than most companies like Rhino Rack, Thule, Yakima, etc use. But a quick trip to the hardware store and almost all the various racks, bars, etc will work.
