How do you like your RSI Smart Cap? I really want one. Worth the cost?
I have the SmartCap and I’d say it’s worth every penny. The build quality is superb and it’s transformed my truck for camping and off-road adventures . The height , the gull wing doors are amazing too. It’s built to last.

I would like to echo this. I just installed mine a few weeks ago and its been great. Great quality and looks to be built to last. Taking it camping in a few weeks.

We need more pics people! Also, can anyone who has ordered recently confirm whether or not they are shipping with the new (more subtle) decals now?

Any pics of this with the rhino rack pioneer platform on the roof? It looks to be a bit higher than the roof (but level with ROW Rangers) so curious how it'd look with the platform.

The RSI caps come with integrated T-slot channels on the roof. There's a ton of racks out there that do work with them like FrontRunner, Prinsu, the RSI branded ones, etc. We don't have pictures of all of them unfortunately and we have not tried the Rhino rack.

I'm asking a slightly different question - not about a rack attached to the canopy, but a rack attached to the roof of the truck.

Basically, it appears the cap sticks above the US roof on the ranger by a few inches. I'm curious if that ends up being level if the truck has the pioneer tray on it with the backbone system.

The ROW Rangers have roof rails on them, which can be seen in some of the pics on the RSI website - and it looks nearly level with them.

The RSI cap does stick an inch or two above the roofline. We've never tried to mount the Rhino rack platform to the cab so can't say if the two would be level or not.

Can anyone get a measurement of this height? Trying to decide if I want to take the plunge and do both to my rig.

It’s something I’m interested in too. Not really wanting to do a rhino rack on the cab though- maybe just the clamp on crossbars over the cab to help carry the long items.

I got the table about 1.5 weeks ago and took it out to Anza Borrego right away. Here it is stowed up on the top:

It provides a nice flat surface for pouring evening gin & tonics! (and cooking). Not cheap, but I like it.

Nice looking setup! Do you know the height above the cab the load bars sit?

Here are some measurements for you

Clamped a straight edge on the forward load bar

About 3.75” inches above the roof

For those that are interested, I also put the level on top of the cap
2BD4E4B3-04E1-4E47-9D73-6D4D4A918AC7.jpeg

And it’s about 3/4” higher than the roof, but this doesn’t include the height of the mounting rails on the sides which add about another 3/4”
