I was just thinking, while the front is all torn down for headlight replacement, I should be able to just reach down and swap out fog lamps or bulbs without anything in the way, right?
Hey thanks for the clips and pics guys.
Fogs can be done either way. I just reached up and switched them out.

If you only swap the bulb its no big deal. Swaping the assembly is probably a bit more of a pain but not too bad.

Got these guys installed today. Quite a job but worth it. I have always liked the front design of these trucks , but these Luxx series headlights transformed it even better! Both ways!
All wired up for the starting sequence. I'll get used to it.
Thanks Uncle Sam. ;)

It's definitely a job, but it's such a nicer look IMO. Well done!

Mine should be in on Thursday and I'll get them installed this weekend for my truck. I'm really looking forward to it and I'll be able to see how the Morimoto XB fog lights look with the lights to

I've decided on just a bulb swap on the fogs for now. Looks like a no brainer from below.
The ever so popular H11's Auxito's were just 17.91 with coupon and small gift card balance I had. OK! Done spending money!! (yeah right)

Thought the moromotos werent even out yet?
The fog lights are. That's what I put in for Morimoto. The part number I put in was LF 011. That is the fog light part number for the yellow. As for the headlight assemblies I'm still waiting on them but they're supposed to show up today in FedEx from alpha Rex

So there was a small delay in shipping but the headlights arrived today. I went ahead and installed them tonight and i can say I really like them compared to drop in LED's in the reflector housings. I still need to correct the aim but it is real close to where it should be!!

Alrighty, so I got my headlights adjusted to what i believe is correct. I took some pictures of the on road. I did not take pictures of them in the truck because that is just silly.

How did I set the lights up? Well after going into Forscan and setting up the DRL for Dedicated DRL I hooked the DRL module up and now when I have thwe switch in AUTO the DRL lights are on without low beam headlights.

Now before I put these headlights in i had drop in LED's from BeamTech. They were ok but not that great. Last weekend I installed the Morimoto XB Fog Lights. The output was nice for what it was. The headlights came in yesterday and even after a long day of work I decided to take the chance and install them as I just could not wait. Today I corrected the aim.

Here are the pictures I have for you guys!!

The first 5 are with the Alpharex. The last are with the Beamtech's

I bought the LUXX series. General consensus from my friends and myself is that the light show on unlock and startup is a little over the top, however the actual beam pattern and lights themselves, especially in alphablack, are a incredibly significant upgrade over the stock halogen headlights IMO. Pics below. I'm very happy with them. The guys with pro-series and LEDs look like an excellent option too, from the pics posted on here.

Looks good. Those Beamtechs aren't half bad. But I bet they were a bit much for oncoming traffic.
I've still to get out and test on my Luxx's. I'm installing LED in the fogs today, then I will.
What I did on my aiming was match the tape on the wall from old to new. Almost matched out of the box. Just a tweak needed. We'll see on that.
What did you think on the installation? That grill!! Man 'O man!

Total agreement on the start up sequence. Looks like they designed it to disconnect and swap out the module easy.
Maybe sometime in the near future they'll have a redesign for us that are not too fond of this one.
Alpharex you lisening?

So I'm not a Fan of the Drop in LED lights as the light pattern from the reflector housing sucked. Going to the LUXX the beam pattern is much more evenly distributed and smooth. Its just the best way I can describe it. Also the color temp of the BeamTech is 6,500k wich causes horible sight in snow rain and fog!!! Thankfully the LUXX is a little warmer. Talking to Alpharex they had a guess of between 5,500 to 5,700k on color temp so that will make a difference.

Install? Well getting things apart will suck..... Putting it back together will be the easy part!! It took.me about 2 and a half hours to install.
