I've been perfectly happy with the stereo in my truck. Never really gave it any thought. Then again tunes are way down on the list of things I mess with. My 66 Mustang still does not have a radio. I bought a complete new system with sub, speakers JVC head etc about 9-10 years ago. Still sitting in a box in my garage waiting to be installed. One of these days..... For me the best music in the world comes from a set of long-tube headers with cut-outs. Don't think I'll ever get the Ranger to sound like that....lol.

Anybody even know what size they are............
The doors are 6 1/2" but can also fit 6 3/4" and 7" (ex. 7" Kenwood Excelon) as long as you get the correct mounting adapters. Crutchfield gives them to you for free with the speakers.

You should also look at adding 80mil sound deadening mat to the inside door skins. This will reduce road noise, make the doors sound less hollow when closing, as well as vastly improve mid bass response. Well it will provided you make sure at least one sheet is directly behind the speakers in the doors.
