A pilot landed a plane with a rather bumpy landing.
As part of his job he was required to stand by the terminal door and say goodbye to the passengers as they exited the airplane.
He was afraid that someone might say something about his rather less than perfect landing, but everyone left without saying a word except for one passenger.

an elderly lady, she slowly approached the pilot after most passengers had exited the plane and asked, "Did we land? Or were we shot down?"

I flew into Gold Coast once and the landing was particularly heavy, we must have bounced a good 3 or 4 times before finally settling onto the runway and the Qantas flight attendant said over the intercom "We have arrived at Coolongatta airport, we hope you had a pleasant flight. Please remain seated while Captain Kangaroo takes us over to the terminal; we are only a hop, skip and jump away from the end of our journey." Although it took a moment to catch on, there was still laughter rippling through the passengers as we walked out through the airport!

When my daughter was little, we were at a restaurant when she blurted out to our waitress Mandy, "we have a cat named Mandy. She poops on the porch"

Art Linkletter used to have a TV show and he would have some kids from the audience onstage. He would always ask them "What did Mommy tell you NOT to say".. the answers were usually hilarious !!
