Looks like we may have them too! So it’s behind the plastic trim on seat base.
Yeah, I'm running the power/ground wires through that hole on the driver side, & the 9-wire is running on the passenger side in the same manner. That rear shelf is the seat bottom/hidey hole/jack storage. Trim panels are held together by nothing but plastic push clips (with a few metal reinforced clips). There's a gap for wire to pass from side to side. I managed to get my 8" Kicker in there, sounds a bit weak, but I'm still tweaking amps & looking to seal off the mount for my sub.

Post up when you get it tweaked how you like it. We may have another Easter egg here.

Looks like this thread took a positive turn in ways to improve our ranger sound great input!
As far as the original post I’m guessing his speakers are blown if turned up to 30 with the bass and treble turned up also

Dear god, man! I had mine at 20 today for first time to listen to a song and the loudness was unbearable! 15 is the highest I ever go.

Good luck on the upgrade though.
15 is the highest I ever go. Another reason to buy a Lariot. The B&O system is pretty awsome.

I got the lariat but super cab couldn’t get the B+O on it but sometimes wonder if I got better speakers. I am in to audio the sound quality is good for stock. Driver only mode is best for me bass and treble un adjusted 15 is about my highest usually 8/12. I learned to except things for what they are if they were that bad I would of spent my money on it instead of my Smartcap

Do you need a tailgate damper too?

I'm less than impressed with the stereo in my XLT. The amount of bass is good but the highs are none existent.
I got the treble all the way up but the only way to get the highs is to back off the bass. And at Vol 30, it's just weak as hell.
I got the position almost fully to front drivers side cuz any adjustments to even it out makes the pass side over power the whole sound. I seriously thought the drivers side were blown.
It's really bad how far I have to have it to the front and over towards drivers side to get any satisfaction. Worst stereo I've ever had.
Any simple suggestions to maybe upgrade the tweeters or put some more power behind the whole thing? Must be kinda easy, I'm not very good at
stereos, speakers are easy, but amps and stuff are confusing to me.
You either have a bad radio or you need to have your hearing checked.....I can't go much past 12 on mine to be in the loud zone. I have mine set for center and little forward from the rear.

Over time, RV stereos will deteriorate gradually, resulting in defective wiring and malfunctions. You can keep your stereos in good operating order in a variety of methods. Here are some ideas for how to go about it.
Wipe away any dust that has accumulated on the surface.
Always keep your DVD player clean because dust might accumulate and cause your DVD to stop working.
When not in use, turn it off.
Maintain it on a regular basis to ensure that it is in good operating order.

Sorry that I can't directly relate, but I have the B&O system in my truck and I think the Stereo setting sounds much better than Surround. I have played with the EQ settings in the truck and I can say that the biggest factor without a doubt is the device or software supplying the music. What I mean is, Apple music sounds significantly better than Spotify and Amazon Music HD sounds even more amazing. Maybe worth a try for you before investing a bunch of money in speakers. Just my $.02. It made a huge difference for me.
exactly !
if the source is not up to snuff what comes from the speakers never will be.
