I have quite a few tools & recovery gear that I slide under my Supercab's driver and passenger seat. Some of you may have noticed that there is a floor vent that runs under the seats with a plastic extension. The plastic extension will slide right off if you give it a gentle pull and give you a bit more room to slide goods under the seat.

Has anyone tried capping off that vent or taping if over with a heat resistant tape? I'm wondering if its worth it, and if it will provide some more airflow through the feet vents for the driver. The reason I want to cap them is the stuff under my seats is blocking any worthwhile airflow, and it typically only my dog back there.

Stuffing rags in them is probably an easy way to test for increased front seat air flow.

Not sure the difference is noticeable, since the openings are quite small. I closed them up anyway as any air that IS going through them is just hitting my tools, wasted.

Do you guys have any pics of these vents under seats , because down here in Oz where have no venting/Ac at all in the back..
I don't have any pictures handy, but its a really simple small vent that shoots some air out from under the passenger and driver seat.

I tip my cap to you sir... great idea blocking these off.

I think I'll convert these vents into dual shop rag storage areas.. :like:

would 1 can of spray foam for each vent be enough to seal them off?

Go to a hardware store and get some tin tape ... no worries about catching fire and sticks well, but not permenent, or aluminum tape.
