First set of coil overs i've seen for the ranger with a remote reservoir. Wish a few others would get on that game.

Well, my wife's job requires her to off road 90% of the time she's behind the wheel. While the rough country level kit is doing its job in the looks and tire clearance department, she already asking when the coil overs are on the way. Looks like canceling my order for the Icon kit wasn't such a good idea. Anybody have any info on if/when Fox is going to bring something to market? I know, I know, everything is subjective but which do you guys prefer, Fox or Icon? I'm thinking of reordering the Icon's and getting back in line.

What kind of limitations are you seeing with the level kit if you don’t mind me asking? Or just looking for a better off road suspension with more movement?

I'm holding out for the Fox/BDS kit, which I'm told is "soon". That's about all I could get out of them...

Limitations? The only limitations I have is the fact that I only get to drive it when I pull it into the driveway to wash it for the wife. I don't think she/I will ever run into any real limitations. After all, if we're being honest, most trucks now a-days can handle about 95% of what the average person can throw at them. She is just really excited about the attention the Ranger is getting and wants to continue build/upgrade the truck (nothing crazy). It's pretty cool to see my wife getting excited about something that we can both geek out on. That being said, she is an archeologist and she spends a LOT of time off road so the suspension will get put to work. Like I said, not necessarily a "limitation" thing but more of, let's make it better. So, re-order the Icon's or is Fox where it's at and wait to see what they bring to the table?

One of the major reasons I'm holding out for BDS/Fox is they have a no BS lifetime warranty on the kit they sell. if you manage to break anything in the kit, they'll happily replace it at no cost to you.

I’m hoping fox teams up with ford, like they have with the F-150 raptor, that way we won’t void our warranty. I did purchase the extended 100,000 miles warranty! So it would be nice if the suspension could still be under it. (Get it under it)!

There will be a Fox Factory Ford suspension offered. When though is anyone's guess. I got this back from Fox:
Josh,
There will be an aftermarket suspension and an OE suspension that we supply to FORD. If you wish to have the one that you saw, through FORD and their distribution channels would be the only way to obtain that suspension.

Thanks

Get back in line for the Icon kit. Fox will be months.

If you really need the lift get the icons, but if your patient and want the the reservoir setup, that can withstand plenty of punishment like maybe an occasional offroad jump from dirt hills than wait! The icons can take a few punishments you throw at it, but you’ll be reordering or repacking the seals in them, most likely!

I would go for the fox, but you could just do the icon now and resell them when the fox kit gets here. I have some 14" King coilovers sitting on my garage floor.....hmmmm:idea:
