This is definitely more complicated (and expensive) than it needs to be. "Exhaust pipe expander tools"? Who knew? I'll probably have it welded on when the time comes. Better "snug" than sorry! Thanks for this information!
I ended up using the black tip from Go Rhino... much better fit.

I am considering this tip:
1. Did you get the 10" or 14" length?
2. Is your tip long enough that the place where the clamp attaches to the tailpipe does not show easily?
3. Is the fit of the tip on the tailpipe more snug or more loose when you 1st slide it on before securing it to the tailpipe?
4. Did you install the end of the tip flush with the body or out beyond the body? If beyond the body, how many inches out from the body?
Thanks,
Paul

i got the 10" (teehee)

its more loose, you can wiggle it, put some wd40 on the threads of the clamp screw, it will tighten much easier.

pics attached to address 2 and 4.

pardon the winteryness of the pipe.. we have had a lot of winter weather here.

Calvin,
Thanks for responding and for the great photos!
1. Even though the tip has weathered conditions on it, will it still clean up and look similar new?
2. It looks like from the rear view, the tip covers the tail pipe to the inside of your rear tire. Would you recommend the 14" to give a little more coverage over the tailpipe?

yes, it just has salty crap on it, it cleans up to a nice matte black.

i think the 14" is a bigger outlet diameter.. this is a 3" inlet, 4" outlet.. i wouldn't want much bigger than that. Some people paint the pipe with high temp matte black paint from the muffler back to conceal the look of it being a tip, i may do that in the spring.

the 14" inlet diameter is 2.75, thats too small. i think the 10" is your only option, our pipe is 2.9ish"
