I don't think there's any one tune that is the best. There are a few top tuners out there and each one has a great tune(s) available. If you're concerned about warranty go with the Ford tune. Livernois and Unleashed are two other great tunes and I know there a several others but you're going to get many opinions which we all know are like asses and everyone has one.

From all the reading I've done on here before getting mine (Livernois) I would go with either them or Unleashed. I love mine but it looks like the Unleashed might have more power and more options to fine tune it from what @Doc has posted with his dyno results.

Personally, warranty (that costs bookoo $) or not. I'd skip 5 star for now until the other guys issue is resolved. Warranties aren't too meaningful to me if I have to use them.

At $1000 for 6yrs 100,000 that more than doubles the cost of your tune.

If warranty is a concern, I'd go Ford Performance. If not Livernois or Unleashed.

I know you were asking about the Ford tune but just so you have a comparison here's what you get with the Livernois tune. $500.00 you get all 5 of their tunes 87-89 soft shift & performance, 91-93 soft shift & performance and tow tune. Free lifetime updates and if you ever sell your Ranger they'll tune your next vehicle for free, you just pay to ship the tuner back to them. You can flash between different tunes in a couple minutes but you should leave them in for a couple tanks so they "learn". Also they're customer service is A++!

Will second that on the customer service and reputation that Livernois brings with their decades of Ford tuning experience. Ford Performance uses a version of the Livernois MyCal tuner as well, that says something right there.
