ReadyLIFT Intrusion Beam Kit

My 275/70/17s on +15mm offset wheels and a 2-1/2” level kit are about as big you can go without rubbing. After loosening and pushing them back, at full lock, my front crash bars clear by about 1/2”. Driver side rear; 1/4”. Passenger side rear; an uncomfortable 1/8”. If I’m ever fully locked and compressed even a small amount, I’ll be rubbing.

Not after these are installed. Besides, look at how hefty they are. They’re even more impressive when you feel their weight in your hands. On first blush, I’m sure they are stronger than the factory beams. Beefy!

So, I now have a project. Off come the front fender flares, the factory fender trim and necessary parts of the front bumper - I want to remove the bars intact. Besides, from the stories I’ve heard from other members, using reciprocating saws and cut off wheels are a big PITA. Work smarter, not harder.

Besides, I plan to mod my original grille into an insert for the lower grille opening - no ACC, so no issues - this will be much easier with things removed.

I saw a video of a guy airing down with one of those deflators. I’ve never used or ever seen one before - slick gadget. ?

Got my engine cover and installed it.

Shout out to @RockinBob246 for the mounting bolts.

Thanks!!!

I honestly don't know if it makes it any quieter.

Compared to my Jeep with the V8 and 3" Flowmaster 70 exhaust, my Ranger has always been whisper quiet so this was more of a "I want it to look right under the hood" kind of addition.

Agreed, that looks impressive. What’s it in and what year?

I had a 69 Cobra that looked a lot like that. 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air.

I'd guess 69 Shelby GT-500.

Yeah, 69 428 Mach 1, not mine sorry to say.
Took another look at the pic. If you zoom on the shock tower, the top sticker says Shelby GT-500.

So unless someone added a Shelby sticker........

Like I said, not mine and it's just a picture of a 428 cj regardless, still a right sight under the hood

Most Shelby owners I've known would be offended if you called their car a Mach 1.

More awesome to drive one. One of my friends had a 68 GT-500 KR. He let me drive it by myself once, and I loved it. It had the same 428 CJ as my Cobra other than ram air, but can say the Shelby was quicker and faster.
