Daytime lights?

In the settings tab under lighting there is a option for daytime lights. I have mine checked . But they are not on. Is there something I’m doing wrong or why’s the deal with this light setting?

You have autolamps on? Manual hints at that DRLs only work in autolamp setting.

Park your truck facing a wall. Put your for on the brake and out in gear and then check. Drl's won't come on in park regardless of settings.

Right I’ve done that nothing.

Yes. Only auto.

Just walked out side and checked them. From y’all’s advice bam daytime lights are working.

forscan is your friend, parking lights with drls improves daytime visibility about a kabillion times, both front and rear

Just wanted to add to this... The above does NOT apply to Canadian Rangers. As soon as I take my truck out of park, the DRL's are on regardless of whether it's in auto mode or not.

Interesting. I wonder why?
Just went out and checked mine to make sure I am not losing it, and it performs the way the manual states. (i.e. drls only come on in autolamp)

I believe DRLs are mandatory in Canada. Can't turn them off.

Correct. It used to be that every vehicle had to come with them installed, but it wasn't mandatory that they work (unless you had to safety the vehicle). I suspect that's not the case now.

maybe people in canada and australia are better at figuring out that they're driving around without their headlights on at night
