Any Hybrid Spray Wax products are going to be a waste of your time.

I put a real ceramic coating on the ranger, its been holding up strong 10mo

Put Meguires on parents new KIA, already failed and getting stuck on dirt within a month.
What do you mean by “real?”

Professional? I.e. a $1,000+ treatment?

I'm really surprised that nobody has posted this yet. Project Farm did a comparison of a bunch of these products a couple weeks ago, including the one in the title. It was enough for me to buy a bottle to try.

Project Farm - Which Ceramic Spray Coating is Best? Let's find out!

Edit: Apparently the spray coating and the wet wax are two different products - still a good comparison to watch.

I used the Hybrid solutions ceramic spray coating (green bottle) on my hellcat. Worked great, smells good too. I didn't like the "permanent" feeling of actual ceramic coating, yes it is better but if you mess up in the application it has to be polished off. Probably worried about nothing but I didn't stress at all with the spray coating.
Good wash, clay bar, wash again+touch dry, then 2 coats of hybrid ceramic coating like it mentions on the bottle. After 8 months it was the same as the day after I applied. Re-apply yearly is good enough for me.

Zak.I did the whole procedure on 2 trucks. One outside and other stays inside (held up slightly better) and It doesnt even bead after 1 month. It was easy to apply and shine was good ,just dont bead or stop things from sticking to it
Ok, I’ve just read good things about it on autogeek.net and the consensus was the prep was vital, along with reapplying the detailer after every wash. It’s an SiO2, so durability isn’t its thing.

I wonder how similar/different the Hybrid Solutions (made by Turtle Wax) is from the Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine Hybrid Sealant? I've had really good luck with the latter and it is $5/bottle cheaper than the Hybrid Solutions. I wonder if they are essentially the same product just branded differently? Anyone know?

Theres tests on youtube. They wanted to see how it compared to the tried and proven seal n shine and the hybrid ceramic was better.

Thanks for the info. I've been happy with the Seal N Shine but it sounds like I might have found a new favorite. Can't beat the price either.

Here's a video showing real world, 4 month relative performance of the TW product vs Griot's 3 in 1. I give this method of testing higher marks than those tests that try to simulate real world conditions on a test panel from a salvage yard. I also like that he left one section on his car unprotected as a control section.

Thanks for the post - Griott's did perform better for sure. It is a bit more expensive (not terribly so since the bottle is larger). I may have to re-think my plans.....

And I totally agree with you that a real world test is better than some manufactured "torture test" scenario.

This guys videos are one of the few out there that seem legitimate and not paid for to net a certain result for any specific product. Some of his testing methods are amusing like the Winnebago runs in the pasture...

Ive been watching this guy before he had even 100k subs. I have seen EVERY single one of his testing videos and I have yet to find any critical errors in any of them.
He is the ONLY channel ive found that offers cold hard testing like this with ZERO bias and ZERO company involvement. I have actually contacted him telling him this and that is one of the main reasons I like his content, he said he plans to keep it that way.
His humor that he throws in now and then is definitely well placed. ?

First wash after applying Ice seal & shine. Had driven in some rain & the water was rolling off nicely. I know I had some road film on it so I decided to give it a quick bath to see how it performed. Pleased with the results. Now comes the test of time. Photo not the best, I was hosing it down before the bath.

The ice n shine doesn't have the same properties as the hybrid wax, its not sio2 so it's not a ceramic.

After seeing all the options out there, it can become overwhelming and confusing. Is there anything for the folks that just want a good weekly car wash soap and maybe options for easy paint protection. I just don't see how I could spend hours on my car especially with all the day to day life activities that kids demand, soccer, dance etc. Can the carper reset be used as a weekly carwash? Also I live in FL and have been using chemical bros car wash lately seems to work for the average "busy" household. Thanks for your advise.
