Read this in the towing section of the 2019 manual:
"Reduce the stipulated maximum permitted gross
combination mass by 10% for every additional 1,000 ft
(300 m) in high altitude regions above 1,000 ft
(300 m)."
Spread sheet shows I can't (shouldn't ?) tow a trailer over the Eisenhower Tunnel...
No disrespect for those that trust Ford on this issue, but...Tire manufacturers seem to feel that the proper inflation of a tire is directly related to the load on said tire; hence the focus on contact patch deformation. Most of them will have a chart available with the recommended inflation for...
I also have used heat to melt ice with no issues. My guess is that a decent layer of snow provides insulation to the cold side, thereby setting up the temp differential. When clearing ice, one can see the warming effect and usually start scraping away to encourage removal. Another thing that...
I guess I must have cracked about 3 windshields when I lived in Colorado before I learned not to blast the windshield with heat before clearing the snow. Glass often just can't take the stress of cold on one side and hot on the other. Happened to GM as well as Ford trucks.
Have you looked at the service manuals available here?

Quite a bit of info there for the interior lighting wiring and controls.
I would encourage anyone who is interested in sensors to do their own research on how -and when- they transmit information. Internet myths can be pernicious.

He also posts a link to the Ford resource for this information.
Nope, no tab on the switch and no washer/spacer in the kit. I noted that the switch was a more secure/snug fit in the round fascia (that I bought aftermarket) than it was with the rectangular one included with the kit. Both fascias had a notch inside that would match up with the tab you're...
@OrangeStreak Count me as one who doesn't really care for the way the truck handles taking off from a stop. First gear is something like a 4.7 ratio and third is 2.15; that's a pretty big difference. Now if one is towing or carrying a load, that low first gear is nice... rest of the time it's...
My 2 cents.
This subject probably ranks pretty close to "what kind of oil should I use?" in terms of invoking passionate support of the products/strategies that folks are personally using. With that in mind, I'd agree that a professionally installed ceramic or graphene coating is the best base...
Thanks for the links. I'm curious about this as I've had transmissions in the past where the transmission did learn the habits of the driver. Good to know.
Here's a video showing real world, 4 month relative performance of the TW product vs Griot's 3 in 1. I give this method of testing higher marks than those tests that try to simulate real world conditions on a test panel from a salvage yard. I also like that he left one section on his car...
Are you dealing with the typical boot scuffs on the door panel near the speakers, or do you have actual scratches...something you could feel with your fingernail?
I ask because I only have dealt with scuffs using Turtle wax Ice Interior Cleaner & Protectant. Couple of squirts on a MF towel and...
