I think the Ridgeline is a great vehicle if you don't really need a truck but you still want to haul stuff periodically. Hope it works out for you!
That's exactly my plan the all wheel drive version can tow 5,000 pounds. I haul yard crap to the dump as well as other crap I have to take to the dump, I also needed a bed for my Drums ( I would rather get a keyboard gig but the drums are fun as well. My set would not fit in anything smaller. I need an SUV that can also be an all-wheel drive truck. The Ridgeline ticks all those boxes. I saw some YouTube of it doing four-wheel-drive stuff. LOL I guess it's going fine enough for fire roads and dirt roads I won't be doing any Rock climbing with it. those days are over long time ago with this puppy

Does Carvana account for modification/enhancements?
it just asked if there any aftermarket parts.. not what parts, just if any. I figure resale on a white 2 door truck isn't as easy as a brightly painted supercab

Congrats Tom! You probably sold it at the ideal time. Ranger inventory (new and used) is low everywhere since the plants shutdown in April/May. I would imagine that in the next few weeks production will be catching up and Carvana won't be offering as much.

I was curious too last week and I got a quote from Carvana. My truck is an XLT, FX4, tow package, sport appearance package, so I think it MSRPed for about $38k. With the 25k miles I have on the truck, I got quoted $30k which I was pretty impressed with tbh. I considered selling it for a second, but then I realized there's really not much else on the market that I would want in replacement lol. Probably would have jumped on it if the Bronco was out, but I'm also trying to save money right now...guess I'm with the Ranger for the long haul!

Sounds like you made a great personal choice.
Funny my wife and I were out over the weekend and she was really interested in my opinion of mine..what I liked and did not.

Like I posted in another thread I'm about 80% happy, I'm still a fan just not a fan-boy. The Ranger was the only mid-sized pickup I remotely likes enough to actually buy. Downsized from a 2009 Crew cab Ram 1500 4x4 5.7L. That took about 3 months to really get used to. Love that it fits basically everywhere and the MPG improvements. I have 13,800 on it after 14 months and probably wont go back to a full size truck. Though may trade when I get to 50-55,000 miles and it will depend on what else is out there at that point.

Always keep your options open.

So I sold my truck to Carvana. They offered $36K!!! Easy to take that deal. So I leased a 2020 Ridgeline which is a better fit for me. Was looking at the RDX and RX350 but I need a pick up. The Ridgeline RTL-E leased for $417 a month. So Im depositing $36K when I bring my truck to the drop off.

I could have purchased a new Ranger LOL.... But the Honda is smooth as hell to drive. Yeah Body on frame is a ton bouncy compared. Its basically a Pilot with a bed and AWD. Has much more storage than the Ranger. I like the side opening bed and 110AC in the bed. Already lined with a huge storage area under the bed that opens up. Since we alreasdy lease a Honda CRV We are both familiar with Honda's "sync" system.

OONe cool thing is the bed radio. You can select the bed as a huge speaker.....That works well too bad there is no pro football team here great truck for tailgate partys\

Anyway I don't mean to sell the Ridgeline to anyone here. If you are lookiong to get rid of your truck try Carvana. My brother sold his as well LOL When I showed him the monsy Carvana was paying he sold his. I actually got a grand more for my Ranger.....than he did. Same truck fewer miles on his...They have a lot of XLTs but few Lariats.

Would anyone here buy a used Ranger for $36K??? LOL, I think not.

Anyway I will check in the Gun forum as that is good conversation. and keep tabs on the Ranger.

Trucks have a full frame and the bed is separate from the cab. The Honda Ridgeline is not a truck. If it fills your needs that's cool, but it's no truck. And let's not even get into the 4WD vs FWD with rear assist (AWD) comparison.
Built Ford Tough. ????

Don't worry man, Tom never called the Ridgeline a truck nor did anyone get into a 4WD vs AWD debate

Looks to me like the Ridgeline was referred to as "a pick up", which means pick up TRUCK. And I am simply stating that a Ridgeline is no pick up truck. It is a car/suv unibody thing with a bed on the back.
A Ford Ranger is a Real Truck with a Real 4WD system available.

Early when we were dating, I referred to my 2003 Ranger as a truck when talking to my now-wife. She objected to the designation. She's a farm girl and her family has a clear differentiation between a pickup (such as the Silverado her dad drove) and a truck (a designation reserved for the bigger vehicles used to haul grain). Even now she does not consider the new Ranger to be a "truck," but humors me enough to not object when I refer to it as such.

Honestly I think the pissing contest between what is, or isn’t, a truck should be taken to a new thread. This thread seems to have been helpful to a few members who found themselves needing to unload their Rangers. I think keeping it on topic would be better for the community.

Off Topic: Sid's alive?

Come Back Sid!

Back on Topic:

More a Subaru Baja than an El Camino I think since El Camino did have a frame.

That said, I absolutely LOVED my Subaru Baja Turbo.

Only reason I sold it was because it hit 200k and was still worth more than I paid for it.

Still regret selling it :frown:

Man, Subaru Baja Turbos are GREAT cars and they would sell so well if Subaru brought it back. Right car at the wrong time. They're extremely difficult to find and still pull a ton of cash.
