All the dislike for badges LOL I don't mind a few logos. Even my RB20 logos i left on - you can easily drill out the rivets to remove the plate if you want though. I do respect the debadging - some vehicles just look clean and sexy without all the logos.

A lot of the examples given were actually very new and rare technology however, and IMO, worthy of bragging about. At the time, many trucks did not have EFI, so my old F150 had that badge. My Ranger has the A4LD, so it brags about overdrive, since that was also a new popular thing. Heck, my 69 Corvette has "Astro-Ventilation" etched on the windows - all that does is allow fresh air to flow through the cabin constantly! I don't mind bragging about progress. I DO mind the dealers advertising. That sticker on my tailgate lasted 2 hours; mainly bc i was rear ended and needed a new tailgate LOL

IMO, the number of people who give a crap about the new technology is a lot smaller than the number of people who have the stupid labels stuck on their vehicles. If they asked whether the customer wanted them I suspect the take rate would be in the single digits.

I don't like a lot of badges either. The very first thing I tell any dealer is if you're going to advertise your name on my truck then I'm going to put my company sing in your front window. I had one dealer back in CT add a sticker and their license plate and I wouldn't sign the papers until they removed both. Yeah I know it was easy enough to do it myself but I had told them ahead of time not to.

Ok now raise your hand if you're one of those who don't like badges but you added the vinyl Ranger lettering all around your truck. lol I see some who add the front, rear, side vents, dash and even the sill plate protectors. Add in the Speed Stripes and you look like a rolling Ford Ranger billboard. ?

My dealer logo and tag frame were removed before the engine had cooled off after getting it home.

But I've got to keep my flashy FX4 stickers on the bedsides and the 6 inch FORD letters on my Raptor grill in case someone forgets it's a Ford.

Now I just have to de-chrome the remaining badges to get my feng shui harmonized.

I'm of the same opinion with dealer decals and plate frames. When I bought my Ranger the dealer had a plate frame he was about to put on and I told him no thanks. I feel that if they want to advertise their dealership on my vehicle then I should get something for doing it aside from a cheap plastic plate frame or those lame dealer decals some use. After all I paid them and not the other way around.

I mean I get it. It's free advertising for the dealer when people leave those things on. Also I'm sure people spotting an awesome brand new Ranger would be interested in where they could buy one too. ?

When I had my Line-X installed I forgot to ask them not to put a sticker in the window. They were super nice and friendly so I allowed them to advertise on my truck for the half hour it took me to drive home and then remove it. :)

I don't really like the dealer ads, either, but am fine with low key logos.

I'm not a big fan of how it seems every truck manufacturer now puts some kind of identifier in the tailgate in giant letters nowadays. I'm certainly not going to accentuate it with decals. But I'm also not going to debadge my truck. Also won't de-chrome it, either (I actually like the chrome package, and my wife also thinks the truck is really good-looking, which is a major bonus).

If we're talking aftermarket parts, I'm not going to get upset about the aftermarket parts manufacturer putting their logo somewhere. I do get picky about how they choose to do that, though. It's got to be subtle and it has to work with the appearance of the product. As in, anything with loud stickers is out. Small logo in a corner somewhere that it can be found if you are looking for it is good. Giant logo that's impossible to ignore is out.

I was thinking about taking off the FX4 decals, because I only ended up with that package because the only one I could find in the color I wanted, with the options I wanted, also had the FX4 package. I wonder though, without it how many people will argue about it being an FX4 if I try to sell it?

There have been several people who have taken them off and either just left them off or replaced them with other Ranger decals. I wouldn't worry about resale because if you have the original window sticker you can prove it and all the options for your truck are in the VIN # .

I would think the VIN number would be enough to identify it as being a FX4. Also someone could probably buy an FX4 decal and put it on a non-FX4. So that decal really doesn't mean a lot.

Did you keep the window sticker?

You're expecting a lot from people, I don't see most people being able to do that.

I don't know that I did, it might have been gone before I bought the truck. IIRC it wasn't even on the lot when I test drove it, they had just pulled it out of storage. The sticker should have been around, but I never recall seeing it.

Finally! Someone besides me who doesn't mind the badges. Love all of mine. Did take dealership off though :)

I was just saying that it was possible and trying to show that the decal doesn't necessarily prove that is an FX4. As mentioned by myself and others the VIN should be enough to prove it should a potential buyer challenge you on it.

honestly, i may not get the go rhino boards, just because of that additional logo, waiting for the Tyger Blades to come back in stock.
The logo is quite simple to remove. Can you see the holes? You have to look close.

Go to the dealership you bought the truck from... tell them you want a duplicate window sticker for your truck.

If they say they can't get it, one way you could prove to a prospective buyer that your truck is an FX4 is to enter the VIN at parts.ford.com while they watch. When you do this the site will help you to pick parts for your truck based on what it was originally built with.

Then search for replacement parts that are unique to the FX4, such a typing in the word "shock".

It will show the correct shock absorbers as:

Shock Absorber Part #: ASH85972 (18125) Rear Springs and Shock Absorbers
Usages:
12/01/2018, TFG Ranger 2019-, Special Suspension, LT 265/65 R17 A/T OWL Tyre
Shock Absorber Part #: ASH85967 (18124) Front Suspension Struts and Springs
Usages:
12/01/2018, TFG Ranger 2019-, Special Suspension, LT 265/65 R17 A/T OWL Tyre

The "Special Suspension".... that's the FX4... how can you prove that?

Go to O'Reilley's web site and type in the shock P/N ASH8972 and the picture that shows up is for the FX4.
