I ordered a part from Stage 3 a month ago... still waiting on it. I think it's the manufactors problem but i'd atleast expect them to be apologetic when I reached out to them 3 times asking when it will ship. Nope- takes several days to get an email back every time I send an email. Its the slowest form of communicating i have experienced. They took my money the first day, and still my part hasn't shipped. I think in the future i'll be purchasing my parts elsewhere.

Please shoot me your order number, and I will gladly look into this for you.

I ordered floor mats and an AWE exhaust during the pandemic, and both arrived faster than I thought they would. Guess I got lucky?

I did.

The Gator SFX Tri-Fold from Tonneau Covers World to be exact. $248 shipped for the cover and additional weatherstripping for the tailgate.

Not everyone wants to or has 1K to drop on a cover. This is especially true if they like myself only wanted something that I could install quickly when taking a short trip with the family when needed. I was impressed as it arrived in about 4 days, was in perfect condition and is a very nice high quality item for the price.

If it were something I planned on leaving installed 100% of the time or wanted it for added bed security then, yeah I could see paying a lot more for it.
the gators are rebranded more expensive covers anyway. you still get the lifetime warranty and quality. I have a Gator soft EXT, which is actually the exact same as the Extant soft cover and made by Extant for gator.

Had the same problem. Keep checking on when it would ship and they said they would let me know when it did. Like others have said took my money right away. Well after 6 weeks of waiting for it to ship I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money and even that took 5 days. Will never order from them again and will not recommend anyone else does.

I was on a conference call with E3 Overland today. I asked about another company that wasn't so Jeep Centric. They mentioned Stage 3 Motorsports. I have ordered a few items from them. One that I am still waiting for.... The "Tailgate Modification. " Hopefully the part ships soon. At least they reached out to me and let me know that there would be a delay and asked if I still wanted to wait or cancel the order. To me that was good customer service.

Now I'm not ragging on anyone but who the hell orders a $250 Tonneau cover anyhow?

And honestly, shame on Stage 3 for carrying such crap. Jason, if you know that company has poor craftsmanship then why carry that brand?

You guys have great review and build videos though. Keep up the good content!
My gator tonneau cost $230 and works just fine and looks great and my north mountain $150 cover was perfect for 2 years on my Tacoma. Both keep my bed covered and dry with no fade or issues with the cover

but also Stage 3 was great with me, ordered floor mats and a damper, got an email 2 days after ordering and they let me know the damper was on back order and even offered a refund if I didn’t want to wait.

Lucky you. As @Matsterious mentioned, replies would take 2-3 days on average... It took over 4 weeks to receive my AWE 0FG exhaust system (although my payment was processed right away). I ended up contacting the folks at AWE, and mysteriously my package shipped the same day after speaking with them. Look, I get it... COVID-19 has caused production and shipping delays... All I ask is that you remain transparent with me with updates, and keep me informed with the latest news. This is something Stage3 failed in doing; I will most likely take my business elsewhere when possible, but I'd love to believe that this incident was an anomaly.

The stage 3 rep who is part of this forum helped get my ordered cancelled and he seemed genuinely concerned about my experience I had with stage 3. I just wish it didn't take talking about a bad experience on social media to get this kind of response. I'll probably give them another try in the future since they do put a lot of effort into the Ranger community.

I'll give them another go once this pandemic is over, that way there will be no excuses behind poor customer service (if it occurs again of course).

I paid $309 installed from 4WheelParts for my TruXedo TruXport for my Ranger, after having the same one on my F-150 for $425 installed back in 2011. It held up with no problems for 5 years before getting rid of it, and I expect to get the same from my TruXedo. Price does not always equal quality.

I’ve made two orders with Stage 3 in the last couple months and had no problem. It took a while to get my Raptor grille but they let me know up front that it may take some time to get their order in. About three weeks later I called in and was informed they were in and being sent the next day. Im about to make another order but trying to figure out how to hide it from my wife. Any ideas Jason?

Now, I would never approve of dishonesty with your spouse, and you should probably tell her the truth and come to a mutual understanding about the wonder and glory of aftermarket performance parts.

However, there are ways if that fails...though these are POSSIBILITIES only, and should not be construed as advice or legal counsel.

Method 1: Phone a friend
1). Find buddy.
2). Have said buddy order parts and ship to his address.
3). Pay said buddy in cash.
4). Install at buddy’s place.
5). “Misconstrue” cash payment as some other service.

Pros: Easy, legal, fairly hassle free.
Cons: Requires buddy, requires complete dominance over family finances, requires lying to your spouse, requires your buddy not blabbing.

Method 2: Slow-Burn Subterfuge
1). Find minor issue with truck and bring it up to spouse.
2). Mention said problem whenever she’s in the truck.
3). Subtlety imply there’s an aftermarket solution for said problem.
4). Mention said aftermarket solution every time she’s in the truck.
5). Mention there’s a handsome and knowledgeable rep (namely me) willing to cut you a deal on aftermarket solution.
6). Purchase part with spouse’s approval.

Pros: No lying (sort of), if part works then she’ll be open to further upgrades.
Cons: Long process, only works on parts that actually improve something, your spouse isn’t a dumbass will figure out what you’re doing AND END YOU.

Method 3: One-Man Stealth Op
1). Order parts using a money order/secret account with squirreled away money
2). Have parts shipped to local hub or freight forwarder.
3). Load up all necessary tools and gear to do the install.
4). Drive out to the middle of nowhere to perform install.
5). Return to place of residence.
6). Hope she doesn’t notice (she will).

Pros: One-man operation for maximum security, may actually get away with it.
Cons: Requires a good amount of planning/foresight, requires control over family finances, requires proper tools/expertise, if a jack or jack stand fails during your clandestine woodland install YOU DIE, she’ll notice as soon as you come back and kick the hell out of you.

Method 4: Ultra-Super Secret Spy Stuff
1). Set up a shell company in the Caymans.
2). “Sell” your truck to said shell company. Buy used economy beater.
3). Tell wife you’re trying to save money on gas.
4). Funnel money you save on gas into shell company profits and hidden garage for your truck.
5). Purchase parts using shell company and ship to said hidden garage.
6). Build awesome truck that you take out for “business trips.”

Pros: UNLIMITED MOD POTENTIAL
Cons: probably illegal in several felonious ways, requires a ton of planning, requires a Cayman lawyer, will probably get you on a watch list, requires driving some sort of crappy beater, your spouse will find out AND END YOU.

my experience with stage 3 started off very slow to no response from customer service. Then I went straight through Jason and he was spot on. Response time and getting shit done. If it weren’t for him I would probably never had tried to make another purchase but because of him I will definitely buy from stage 3 again.
