Painted lower fascia black to match truck. Tested last years skid plate plstidip job. Looks the same, no damage and like I just did it. Installed new Putco lower grill insert. I/you, must, take lower fascia off to do it right. The instructions suck as well as pictures are deceiving. The Putco logo believe it or not, faces engine. Either others are doing it wrong or Putco is inconsistent with their quality control.
Anywho, nice out, got lot done for a change.

Did you use Plastidip on the lower fascia also? Looks great!

Finally got my AMP power steps and got them on today. They look and work great. It says 4 to 5 hours. Took me about 10 hours. I’m picky. The boards were the easy part. Wiring was a different story. Being I live in winter wonderland, I spent extra time sealing stuff up, and used some different connectors Inside. I installed lights to frame instead of rocker. Didn’t want to drill holes, and taped lights wouldn’t last long on a rough surface. Also installed the pass thru harness and override switch, which were at extra cost and time.

You lost me.... I painted it as mentioned.
Plasti-dipped the skid plate last year.
So if you look at the truck from the front, no more silver skid plate or lower fascia... :like:

--- BTW, when you remove the lower fascia, it is actually 2 pieces held on with 2 torx screws and several built in plastic clips. So you can separate the honeycomb section, (which is already black plastic) and the lower.
So if you don't want to paint the honeycomb grill and just the lower, you can do so.

That looks great! Did you have to relocate the license plate bracket to install the Putco grille insert like they warn on the order page?

Nope.... never even took most of the bracket off. Just removed the 2 lower bolts.

8+hrs yesterday and today - did a ceramic coating on Maggie.
Wash, clay, polish, IPA wipe, then ceramic. This was my first time doing ceramic and hopefully Its on there - used all of a 30ml bottle.
It sure seemed like I should have been putting it on heavier but maybe less is better (?). I did a section at a time and waited 4 minutes to wipe (60 degrees in the garage) - when wiping there was initially quite a drag on the microfiber and after a few wipes the drag went away.....hope this is/was right. Guess I’ll know more when I wet it down in a couple days.
