This thread is going to be fantastic. Getting this type of information is better than reading posts where people just bought an item and immediately rave about it before they've had a chance to really try it out.

I haven't done much so far in the way of accessories, but I would say that I've had second thoughts about the color of my truck (shadow black). It looks great but boy does it show every particle of dust. I didn't really get to choose the color because I didn't build the truck, but it had literally everything else I wanted so I bought it. Now I'm a bit envious of the lighting blue, magnetic grey, and ingot silver Rangers I see on here.

Lol, that's the trouble with black, when it's clean and polished it looks fantastic, when it's not it looks like "kukai" (google urban dictionary for meaning). Besides entering a black vehicle sitting in the Hawaiian sun is akin to self-masochism...remote start does help though, I suppose.

Not really considered an accessory, but more of a mod was me disabling the auto start/stop (aptly named ASS) on my Lariat this past Friday.
I've about 1K more in accessories to go...

I havent really purchased many accessories for my truck, but I I do have second thoughts on two things:
1) Truck color: Was trying to decide between the magnetic and blue, ended up with magnetic which is still nice but sometimes I wish I had the blue.
2) Trim level: Purchased the Lariat, which I do actually love a lot of the features of. But coming from a truck with manual everything, sometimes I wonder if I should have saved some money and just gotten an XLT.

While I am sure you got a gr8 price on your 4x4, this is why I was willing to wait almost 5 months for my 2020 Lariat S/Cab which was special ordered last August 20, preferring to drive what I want and not what some sales manager thinks I should.

Black Appearance Package. It was on the truck and I thought some of the details were nice.
Should have gone with my first notion that the downside to 18 inch wheels are more expensive tires.
The BAP was $1550 on my invoice that included :
Black 18" wheels and tires ($800 maybe?)
Running Boards ($595)
Spray in bedliner ($495)
fender surrounds, sill plates, bash plate, lower valance.

I hadn't intended on rock rails which I will be adding, the spray in bedliner was on my list.
Black wheels I probably could have bought less expensive after market.

I saw that on 2020 Rangers the BAP cost is now at $1,090

and that is it. Love the damn truck to death!

I put on A LOT of accessories and cannot think of anything I regret.
But.....as much as I like my BAKflip MX4, maybe next time a hard-retractable tonneau bed cover (like a Petagon, GatorTrax, or Roll N Lock); they just seem like an easier install and easier to open and close.

I initially considered the BAKflip MX4, but when researching the hard-retractable tonneau covers I discovered the RetraxPRO XR from retrax.com. Two key features were the ability to accommodate track/load/crossbars from three different suppliers (ability to utilize the space above the tonneau and still open without interference) and the fact that the RetraxPRO XR is sold as a unique part number for the 2019 Ford Ranger rather than a part that "fits" many different trucks when 5-30 shims are installed.
Ordered from RealTruck.com (the $100 discount offset the sales tax), and an easy self install (a friend helped me lift the canister into the truck bed) that only took approx. 75 minutes, and the shim adjustments included were not needed at all

I will say the Black Appearance package on Oxford white is sharp - my dealer gave me one to test drive and let me decided between that one and the one I got 302A sport. I went back and forth - had the BAP truck had the 302A I would have taken that one.

Only thing I'd consider buyers remorse is the mudflaps I got from Ford with reward points. I didn't like the look of mudflaps but with the new tires I needed something because it was obvious they would spray the side of the truck with everything I drove through, so I got them on a whim. As soon as I got them, I realized they would not work with the tires and so I sold them to a fellow forum member and they have since gotten lost in the mail system.

I have the following add-ons to my Lariat:
- Black rubber 'R A N G E R' letters front and back -- love them
- Led bulbs to replace non LEDs -- love them. Biggest issue was finding preresisted blinker bulbs. Thanks to this
forum, was an easy find.
- ICON 2.5 Leveling Kit with Rear shocks -- would do it again
- EIBACH 1" lift block under my drivers rear springs to level the rear -- love it. Can't believe I solved my Ranger l
ean. Did have to remove the small 1/4" shim block under the drivers side. Was very easy to do.
- Ranger 17" Raptor wheels (off eBay, but now you can get them from a variety of places)
- 285/70/17 BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A K02 -- I love them but they rubbed until....
- 1/4" 6x5.5 (6x139.7) wheel spacers for up front -- love them and stopped my front wheels from rubbing.
Also had to adjust front crash bars -- easy with a 15 mm wrench loosening the TOP bolts, then pushing
bar forward a bit.
- Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover -- once I added spacers to level it out, works great and I love it. Required
calling customer support because there were no spacers nor instructions shipped with the kit
- Autostop Eliminator to address auto stop start issues -- love it
- Redarc trailer brake controller -- love it as well. Installed same time as Autostop Eliminator so I could only
take panels off once. But really love this. Redarc customer service is awesome
- Thinkware F750 front and rear dash cam -- I may or may not post videos of people doing stupid stupid
things on freeways.

But I agree with lunchbox 88. I bought a Lariat specifically because I could use remote start and because I had push button start. I wouldn't pay the money difference again.

So far I've only added two accessories to my XLT Supercrew. It came with the only options I wanted (tow package and locking diff), but I added Huskyliner floor mats in the front only, and black vinyl "RANGER" letters on the tailgate. I'm happy with both. The Huskyliners are good for collecting wet stuff and mud.

I also converted an old 2 section folding hard cover I had laying around from my Dodge Dakota by cutting about 4" off the middle so it would fit the Ranger, realigning the latches, and now have a temporary (or maybe permanent) cover until I decide if I want a roll-up vinyl cover, or a topper. They both have pros and cons.

Ok. Guess I’ll chime in here as well. I’ve had my truck since 12/12 and added quite a few goodies to it: LED headlights and fogs, sill protectors, engine cover, ambient lighting, LED exterior bulbs, cup hero’s, stubby antenna, AVS hood protector - still in box waiting for warmer weather.....but it’s these last two items I wish I would have done different.
I acted quick and bought a 2 inch ReadyLift level. I installed it myself and it only provided a 1.25-1.5 inch front lift. At first it seemed fine but now everytime I look at the truck I wish it was another inch taller. Hindsight has me thinking I should have gotten the RangerLift 2.5 inch kit.
I also bought the 3 light grille kit from Stage3. I should have gotten the 4 light.

All in all though I am super happy with the truck and will learn to live with these ‘minor’ issues that bug me right now.

One benefit to 3 mos between order and delivery was LOTS of time and research for add-ons thanks to this forum and its members...especially when it came to the bed cover (AgriCover Lomax). I don't have anything I've purchased aftermarket that I regret, but there are a couple of things included with the BAP that I would do differently if I could - running boards & sill plates. I've seen other running boards I like better and the sill plates are kind of a waste. I'd like to put the Bushwhacker trail armor on, but that means removing/covering up the sill plates or modifying the trail armor.

The wheels from the BAP I could take or leave. I like the look of the OEM wheels, but think I would prefer an aftermarket set.

The Ford supplied neoprene seat covers, they fit horribly for an OEM supplied part. The headrest covers that "match" dont fit at all. I wanted the Carhartt seat covers but wanted to save a few bucks, I should have spent the extra on them.

I just ordered a set of Wet Okoles yesterday for my 2020 S/Cab, my previous 2 Rangers had them and they did an excellent job of protecting the original seat fabric. Both sets fit like a glove on the truck's seats, I well expect the 2020's set to do the same.
They are pricey, but worth every dollar, attached is an image of my 2000 S/Cab's seats prior to me selling the truck last month with the covers removed (they were trashed, I wasn't about to show the truck with them on).

I'll post an image of the '20's covers installed once they arrive.
