Welcome to my build page for my 2019 XLT Hot Pepper Red Ranger! I love doing these build pages to keep track of everything I have done and when it occurred, as well as just adding to the community all of my knowledge and experiences that I have with the Ranger to help others! I have enjoyed creating the build page for my Jeep, and look forward to creating this one for my Ranger!

So without further ado...I am still awaiting my Ranger at this point! I ordered back in the end of December and Friday, March 15th, my Ranger has been officially built now! I am just awaiting the shipment and hope in the next few weeks I should be able to take delivery of it! MAP where the Ranger is built is in Wayne, MI, and my dealer is only like 5 miles away...so hopefully no shipping delays! It's so close I can taste it!

Above is my window sticker for the Ranger, but I will cover a few of the highlights here!

2019 Ford Ranger XLT 302A
Sport Appearance Package
FX4 Off Road Package
Trailer Tow Package
Technology Package
Spray-In Bedliner
17" Magnetic Wheels w/ 265/65/R17 LT A/T OWL Tires

I definitely have a few plans/accessories off the bat with the Ranger, which include:

Tray Style Floor Liners (Ordered)
Retractable Bed Cover (Embark or Retrax, depends on deal I can get)
TouchLink Bed Lighting
Yakima Overhaul Bed Rack System for Embark/Retrax
Yakima Tailgate Bike Rack
In Cab CB Mount (to Mount a Cobra 29 LX)
Third Brake Light dual antenna mount (CB and VHU/UHF)
Adding 12V Power Outlet in Bed

This is all that is on the short list for the moment, but I am sure there will be a bunch more to report as time goes on! ANd definitely plenty of adventure posts for the truck!

The Ranger will be joining two other vehicles at our house and becoming my daily driver! We currently have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler which will be becoming the toy now and the harder off roader and my wife's 2017 Ford Escape!

I just picked the Ranger up tonight! And oh man do I absolutely love it! I am very happy with my choice! And this color combo looks absolutely amazing!

Here it is at Bill Brown Ford, had 5 miles on the dash!

First stop was my parents house to show off a bit and compare to my mom's F150 for size! Was impressed that the difference was less than I thought it would be! Biggest difference could be seen while looking head on at the front! And for comparison purposes as well, her F150 is an XLT Crew Cab FX4 Short Bed.

Then the Ranger made it to home! 41 miles on it now! And I was very pleased with the first trip! As some have mentioned, the ride was a little bouncy, but need to check the tire psi, and it's a truck, so it is basically exactly what I expected! And coming from a Jeep with a lift and mud tires, it rode great! It was also very quiet, and the adaptive cruise worked absolutely great! I am just smiling ear to ear and can't wait for some great adventures with this Ranger! Anyways, here it tucked in at home, 41 miles in!

I like your truck! I ordered the same color & also from Bill Brown Ford (12782)! But I am still waiting! Ordered in October & been stuck in production since 2/07! Maybe it got blocked in the lot waiting for spray in bed liner! I hope I get it soon! Enjoy your truck!

Great looking truck! Can’t wait to see your build progress. But even more excited to see your wheeling adventures alongside that Jeep!! A good Hubby vs Wifey trail-off? lol

A few more pictures around the Ranger! Most interesting thing I have found which hasn't been mentioned too much here is the bed liner like material on the rockers to protect the body and paint! Hard to see unless you look for em, but a really nice tough I think! I like that a lot!

I wish they'd just cover the whole truck in that stuff--I'm the kind that cares a lot more about how the much protection the finish will provide in ten years than how shiny it is in the showroom.

That would be AWESOME if they coated the whole truck with it. Then I could get whatever color I want. I got the white because it doesn't show scratches nearly as easily as a darker color. I drive a lot of narrow forest service roads that can get very brushy.

I'm thinking about either a ceramic coat and/or some clear wrap on the side of the truck to try and protect it.

The pup got her first ride in the Ranger on Wednesday when we picked her up from the vet! She just got fixed, so not her favorite ride (having to wear the cone of shame), but see got comfortable back there pretty quick, and since then she's gone over to it and asked everyday for another ride, so it must have been good!

I use the Kurgo pet hammock and I have transferred it between my 2011 Wrangler, wife's 2017 Escape, and now the Ranger, and it has worked great! And just by chance, it matches our pup perfectly! Haha!
