Wiring Path

Hope someone can chime in here. I am looking to run wires from the defrost vent on the dash down to the OBD port.
Removing this trim panel looks like the best path but unsure how it comes off.

would it work for you to pull the weatherstripping, run the wire down the channel there, then fish it back to the OBDII port?

If you open the lower dash panel--like to get to the fuses--I bet you can look up in there and see if there's a good pass-through.
