Window Tint ?

I am having my 2020 Rangers front doors tinted tomorrow. The rep asked if I needed special ceramic tint that would not interfere with the gps or modem. I told her I used the ford pass app to start my truck. Is something like this necessary? I plan on having them tint to match the rears.

Ceramic is great for heat reflection but if all your other windows don't have it you might as well just stick with regular tint. If you were going to do them all and you live in a hot area, ceramic is the way to go. Besides keeping the inside cooler it'll also help keep the interior from fading.

The types of tint that used to use metal and caused interference is an older spray-on technique and I doubt anyone is still using it in a pro shop. Ceramic is more durable for sure but I don't believe modern films cause interference like the old sprays did.

I tinted my wife’s bronco sport with just ceramic in the front. It’s worth it if you are driving around quite a bit. Keeps a good amount of UV out. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

I just got plan old tint on the front windows. A little lighter than the rear windows, but darker than windshield. No problems with any operatons, accept maybe when I wave to my neighbors they might not see me anymore.

I hot 20% on the front doors of my scab to match the back. It's the cheap stuff. Absolutely no issues with remote start, app, or anything else.
