Window Tint Percentage on Ranger?

Anyone know what the tint percentage is on the rear windows coming out of the factory?
I'd like to eventually match the front driver and passenger to the rears, but want to make sure it's the same.

I agree, but it depends on the brand of tint, and it's actual color.

When I had my ranger windows tinted the person doing the job said that it was between 20% and 25%. I had him put a layer of 20% on all the windows, including the rear, and a strip of 5% on the front windshield. My windows are dark but not too dark.

Definitely check your state laws concerning automotive window tint.

20% tint is illegal in a lot of states for the front windows.

I know everyone prefers different things. But I found that 20% was a tad too dark and made driving at night very difficult. It was hard to see clearly out the windows for me.

Just put the tint meter on mine. 23%

23% sounds about right. Most factory tint is between 20% and 25%.

Again, check with your state laws. Most will only allow 35% on the front windows.

I will admit that having the front window tint match the back windows does look good. But it made visibility horrible at night or even on a cloudy day.

I just asked the installer to match the side windows. He used ceramic tint 20% I believe.

Having not had my Ranger through a summer yet, hoping someone else can chime in; how is the rear window tint at rejecting heat?

(eg, you tinted the fronts, but not the rears, and the cab heat level was.... ??)

I had a very nice business match it all the way around. The back did come with a slight tint .. not sure exactly the %.. but the shop covered the back and did the sides at 5% and it looks pretty well off in my opinion???
