Thanks for the info did not know we had two choices. Love driving this truck but missing some of the stuff My 15 F150 lariat Ecoboost had.

I had a RedTek module, it did everything it said it would. very handy on hot days. just be careful taking off the doorpad on a Lariat. The ambient lighting comes through a little tube, for lack of better wording, that can break when you pull it away. I don't know how to avoid it, just be careful is all i am saying...

Would that work on a lowly XL with only the 101A package?

Of course, as soon as I started typing this I felt like a Nancy-boy!

I used to slide a cheek over and then reach like hell to hand crank the passenger window down in my old FJ40 (and also open the front vent window, of course, wink, wink, never while driving).

Now I'm reduced to: "boohoo, I don''t have one-touch passenger window ..." =p

Gee, I hope I don't break a nail! =D

Update: okay, call me a Nancy, it can roll them down via fob? I just discovered that on Kate's Mazda and love it.

Step aside, a fancy-pants dump guy has been born! =D

Why no beer can crusher not come standard ? Short am I, 3 fingers I have...hard to manually crush beer cans it is !!!

Moving back and forth from my Ranger and the 66 Mustang makes me appreciate the features the Ranger has. I like that the Mustang is so simple and basic. The only thing it has is power steering. EVERYTHING else is manual. Locks, windows, brakes, no dimming mirror, having to use two separate keys to manual lock it, open the trunk etc. 10 years later and I still haven't even installed a brand new stereo that's in a box in the garage. On the other hand, all these things are what I love about the car. Just get in and drive. Up and down thru the gears, listen to the engine and maybe get a few thumbs up from other drivers. Modern features are awesome but I'm fine with what the Ranger has now.

The redtek mod is by far my favorite mod. Works using lock/unlock buttons in the truck too not just on the fob

Just installed it last week. Took about an hour, it’s pretty dang easy. A couple of notes… as far as mounting the box do not follow the vid you posted. He never really shows where it wound up anyway. I know REDTEK has the vid on their site but they also specifically say not to put the box in the door bay for water reasons. I wound up with it on the back of the panel but I’m not sure it won’t start rattling at some point.
Also, it’s $150 Australian. Actually only costs around $125 shipped once converted to USD.

oh yeah,i ended up putting 2 strips of double sided tape and have it on the door card below where the elbow pad thing is.

@TheExtra404 i located mine in the same area. Also used some double back tape to keep it from rattling. I attached it to the inside of the membrane between the door and inside door panel.
