Hi all, I'm running a '22 Tremor with the Livernois 91-93 tune, S&N filter box, and AFE charge pipes.

Yesterday I was on my way home and punched it to get out on the highway... I heard what at first sounded like tires spinning on damp pavement, but is a whooshing noise under boost. I can accelerate ok if I drive like grandma, and run at speed just fine - but if I get into it at all, I hear a whoosh from the passenger side engine compartment and I don't get the expected surge of power. The dealer heard it and booked me for an appointment next week, but I don't seem to be able to find any issues of bad BOVs on the forums. In other forums, I saw references to people taking apart the BOVs and cleaning them on a regular basis. Even Turbosmart has an article on their site on how to do this and how it should be done regularly.

I don't want/need a Turbosmart for 2.5 times the price of OEM (nor want additional sounds coming from the engine bay).

Thoughts? Anyone experience this?

The dealer heard it and booked an appointment? Does he know about the tune?
Get ready to hear 'warranty void' from him.

If the AFE charge pipes are not a Ford installed and warrantied mod then, yeah, they will charge to fix it.
