Made the decision and dropped the tires off to be mounted... white letters will be out!
Well I know it doesn't take a week to get tires mounted... Let's see it!

If I vote in/out, does that mean letter facing in/out or this trend is in or out, and vise versa? So confusing...:crackup:

Got a message today that they’ve been mounted on my new wheels. I won’t be able to get up there to get them for a another few weeks so you’ll have to wait! Still snow tire season here too.

I never thought of it that way, but I see it now. Letters themselves, not the trend!

My wife did a quick photoshop of my truck tonight and I’m trying to decide whether to go white letters in or out - I’m leaning toward letters In but what does everyone think? Tires are General Grabber ATX 265/70R17 and wheels are black Fuel Shok.

So far I have leveled my truck by two inches, which included alignment, and had the tires rotated at the same time, but I have not changed the stock Hankook ATM tires or had the white letters put inside. I have started thinking about it more and more lately, though, and am coming around to the idea that I will have the white letters put inside next time I get the truck serviced and tires rotated. I have not gone so far as to Photoshop my vehicle (or ask my wife to do so!), but I imagine that "black side out" tires would look pretty cool with the "Black Appearance Package" Rangers. I'll send another picture once I get this done....

I’ve always used Comet powder cleaner. I get the tires wet, put the powder onto a hard plastic bristle brush and scrub. I do the entire sidewall.

I blow off the tire (and wheel) with my compressor to dry, then dress the tire with tire shine.

The lettering is as white as a Kardashian’s teeth! ?

I admire your dedication, but I am too lazy for all this! The letters are going inside at the next rotation!

Here's my lightning blue little big man with letters out on black and silver nemesis 17x9 wheels and bighorn maxxis 245/70/17's D range.
My preference is white out but some tire sizes and load ranges as well as manufacturers do not give one an option as they are black only.
For several years now black rims in gloss are all I buy and I attempt to find owl tires to match.
It is really your choice anything you wish is what is good.
It is nice to be an American were we can choose what each of us want.

Picked them up today before everything shuts down around here.
But the mounters of your nice tires did not remove the blue from the white letters, unless you told them it does not matter cause you will do it.

At first I thought you might have meant are white letters "IN" style or "OUT" of style, rather than the way they are mounted .But everyone here agrees on the mounting, so I cast my vote for "IN" because when rolling the tires look like whitewalls.
OK on a hi-vis green Fiesta, but not on a ranger, IMO.
