I follow that site too. They have some crazy patents. I think a lot of them are just in case it becomes a thing with no actual plans to implement.

I have never been in the military, but I worked on a military base for 20 years. I was going to night school to get my masters with a friend. He just bought a used Jeep. We were coming back from class about 830 in the evening and they stopped us at the gate for a random search by the drug dog. I wasn't worried it wasn't my vehicle. He was freaking out!
The dog cleared the jeep and then the guy said "didn't you know we have a schedule where we train the dogs by checking peoples vehicles. It is a huge problem I guess.
If you live in a place where you cross a border every day and therefore got to go faster by being in a lane with a vehicle that would clear you I'd buy it

Maybe Ford can come up with a sensor that will tell me when it's time for me to poop and piddle, either separately or in a combination of the two.
That way I can go on a trip knowing that my trusty Ford will alert me before I drive past a rest stop, and I don't have to worry about my waiting for my body to alert me.....:like:

Yeah, wasn't there a Ford patent for a magnetic bed last year? I think it was to take the place of tie-down?!?

Great, now they'll delete all tie-downs but equip you with this:

Here's an excerpt about that patent:

According to the patent, there’s a series of magnets underneath the truck bed that can either magnetize the entire bed or selectively magnetize sections instead. The recently-patented system will allow owners to control the magnetization via the infotainment screen or smartphone app.

LOL, what could go wrong - no more letting grandpa and his pacemaker ride in the back and make sure Fido's tags are non-ferrous! =D

The potential (see what I did there) is endless with the havoc that could be wrought.

Maybe this is the real reason Ford went to aluminum?

Now you know where all your recycled beer cans went.......I mean hell, we throw em away.....Ford probably has roving groups of "beer can scavengers" working at night going thru garbage to pick aluminum can out for "bed making" !!!

I'm hoping that they invent a vape holder between the cup holders. Extra points for integrated charger.

I asked my friend to 3d print me a adapter to cup holder, but haven't seen this materialized in 3 years*. Maybe I need to buy my own 3d printer.

* = I'd figure that he does not understand the necessity nor the design requirements.

Ford is just plagiarizing other folks ideas, as in the video below where Walter White being a drug dealer couldn't apply for the patent.
