Has anyone tried this mesh replacement grill? I like the wide open look, the price, and the way it installs into my original grill.

I've eyeballed them. They have an install video on YouTube as well. Looks like quality stuff. And I really like the look.

Only thing that kept me from jumping was the use of the original surround. I'd like to keep the Magnetic surround but without the RANGER letters pressed into it.

If you get it let us know what you think.

I LIKE the Ranger lettering pressed into the grill surround. Different strokes for different folks.
We'll see about the purchase. Right now I have bigger fish to fry.
If I do make the purchase, I will certainly update this thread.

That’s pretty pricey for what it is.

I do like the way it's done. I just feel less is more with badging/branding. I plan to eventually get rid of it on the side vents, and would like to get rid of it up front. I've accepted the fact that the Blue Oval and embossed "Ranger" will stay on the tailgate.

I'd bet a body shop could fill and paint that surround for me. Or if I see it your truck I might keep it around if I go this route.

I totally agree about branding/badging - I won't wear clothes with any obvious logo - but the Ranger script on the grill is subtle. I like it.

Hopefully someone chimes in with a review. Problem with being the guinea pig on this one is that you destroy your stock grill to install it. If you don't like it you gotta get a whole new grill.

That's been another thing holding me back.

what I did was kept my OEM grill untouched and bought a used one off eBay. Just so I knew the clips wouldn’t be completely jacked up on my OEM grill.

Well this is the 3rd time I made this grill so it’s not pretty up close but I’m looking to purchase a handful of ranger grills and will be converting them over to something similar to this. I’ve got to buy some better tooling to work with the plastic though. But there was a lot of cutting, head scratching, tearing the truck apart, beer drinking, then repeating. But the final stance of the grill is so nice. Still pretty tight with the LP4s behind the grill with the Mountune Intercooler too. 10lbs of crap in a 5lb bag if you know what one saying haha.

I want to build another to see if I can clean up some areas that I know about and work better techniques too. But I also want to take the charcoal trim around the grill and try to make it out of carbon fiber. Why? Idk why. Haha just kinda want to. But I’m also going to build some other carbon parts for the truck to shave as much weight as I can since I’m adding a lot to it with homeless living essentials

After seeing the quality of your work I'd gladly pay for one that was just like yours with the embossed "RANGER" removed/filled. I'd even return my stocker as "core exchange."

I always wonder how you made your grill & mounted the lights when I see it on IG.

Seriously incredible. I would buy one of these in a heartbeat. I especially love the lights behind it.
