Recently I have had reason to drive to an area with no internet/cell service. The drive out has been great, truck runs well. I leave the truck parked for a couple of hours. When it comes time to drive home I notice crappy shifts and get that oh no transmission time for me. However apart from the shifts it seems to drive normally but with maybe a little less pep. I have recently changed the DPFe sensor so it's not that. I also notice that the heat/AC temp is not displaying and does not display all the way home. The temperature, which I have on auto can be raised or lowered. This all happens when I had my cell phone with and on me but no service while stopped. Nothing changed even when service was available later in the trip home. After stopping at home next trips were as normal.
I have also made a few local trips and left my cell phone at home, crappy shifts and less pep seem to be the price I pay for not having my phone on me.
I also note that with the internet service compromised somewhat by the AWS outage that my Ranger experience was not as good as it usually is.
Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Or is it just maybe in my head?
