Hi, how does one find out about which modifications would potentially void a warranty? Does a level kit? Exhaust? Intakes? I surly want to make my truck mine, and do some mods, but I also don't want to void the warranty. Any help would be great, as I sit here waiting for my Ranger to be delivered, I'm shopping for mods.

Thanks.

Ask the specific service department at the dealership you would take the truck to for warranty service. Some don't want any type of modification while others will let you mod quite a bit. Some will install a lift kit for you while others don't even like a leveling kit. They can only turn down a warranty issue if they can prove that your mod directly caused the issue. Usually this is a slippery slope which is why you should just ask them directly.

Oh awesome! Thanks man. I'll be taking my truck to only three Ford dealerships that I trust to work on my truck so I'll keep in contact with them. Thanks again, I've never owned a vehicle that has one of these fancy warranties.

From what I've been told and like rduvall said, if the mod caused the issue then that's when they could turn you down for warranty repairs.

I also believe this is true but I don't believe they have to "prove it", especially if it's an expensive repair. As rduval said, ask your dealer.
