Can't speak for it as my Ranger had XM from the factory as it was a requirement for me. For my 93 Pathfinder I simply have a radio that is XM compatible and it works well. As long as the module with communicate I don't see why it won't work.

I thought all our trucks from 2019 on had XM
BT has better sound quality ....

If I remember correctly not many base model vehicles(XL Ranger included) don't come with XM. I believe that was available on XLT and above
