Siris xm alerts

Does anyone know how to turn down the volume on the alert? I was driving the other day and was turning up the volume while listening to xm. While i was doing that the alert came on (telling me one of my favorite bands is playing on another channel) turning up the volume on the alert instead of the radio volume. Can't find anyplace to turn it down. So loud can't hear anything.g else. Please help. Thank you

Next time an alert comes up turn the volume down. You have to be quick as it only adjust the alert volume while it's playing it's sound. As far as I know it's the only way to adjust it.

I've been trying to do that buts it's hard. The alert is fast or I'm slow

It's not just you. Ford made a poor UI decision on this one.
I'm not sure if sxm alerts are tied into the same setting but you can try to have someone call you then turn it down while it's ringing.
If that doesn't work you can do a factory reset to get everything back to normal. You'll have to re-pair and add all your favorites back with this one.

I will try that with the phone. If not factory reset I guess.
To bad you can't mute the notification.
