First of I am now computer expert and really need some help.. I use an I pad pro and used to use a laptop with windows 7 on it so yea a little out dated to say the least but I was successful with Forscan removing and adding stuff..
I followed instructions and tori sent me a tune but I’m unable to get device updater software to load as I keep getting that it wants ” net framework version v4.8” I downloaded it and Assume it was installed as it went threw its questions and I answered but keeps on coming up with this when I try to run the device updater..anyone? Is windows 7 just too old or am I doing something wrong. Thanks for any help….

Didn't you get a tuner with the software from Torrie? You don't use forscan for the installation at all?? I have the Unleashed tune and love it. I do flash back when I take it in for service then reload afterword.

I guess I was not clear. I used Forscan with the lab top that has windows 7 on it. I did not use it for unleashed tune. The issue is my lab top. Yes I got the tuner and tori all ready sent me the tune and I can’t get the tune to down load as I keep on getting the net frame work that I posted above.

Only thing i can think to try would be to run the installer as an Administrator, or manually install that .net framework thing manually (i.e download that specific version yourself and install it)

I had a similar issue trying to load Garmin Express- to update my Garmin, even though the .net framework was installed, Garmin Express would not install (update)
Gave up and used wife’s laptop to get the Garmin updated.
Frustrating
So if someone figures this issue out, it will help me with my software install issue as well.
I tried various options, Safe Boot , Disable A/V , Administrator, Previous Vs of Windows etc , I am on Windows 10 though not 7

On my Windows 10 computer, I have the following for control panel/programs applications/turn windows features on or off:

You could try checking the ASP Net 4.8 services box or the other boxes under WCF Services. I would do a screen shot of what boxes are checked before making any changes, so you can put them back to original if necessary.

I am away now so I can't view what my Windows 7 computer has for Net frameworks settings. If needed, I can check for those settings next week.

Right click the program installer icon and choose Run as Administrator.

If you go to Control Panel and then System, it should show you your Windows 7 service pack.

Well it looks like this won’t work with windows 7 from what this tech computer guy is telling me that cost me $45 bucks. So I ordered a referbished one from Amazon for $158 bucks. Have it Tuesday. Hope it works out. Thanks for the support guys..
